      orders for Pamplona

Pamplona's first unit of warriors should be available and can be moved into position to pop the goody hut and wait until Madrid's garrison is positioned outside the city. I request that the queue for Pamplona be switched to produce a spearman next.

In several turns, when Pamplona becomes size 2, I will request that the tiles be briefly micromanaged to use the cow bonus and the forest tile together. This will give the city an overall shield production of 4 minus 1 that will be lost to corruption. The net 3 shields will give Pamplona a spearman in 7 turns from 2750 B.C. (the amount of years change; I don't know the actual date)

I was wondering how long it would take someone else to start this thread.

Do you think that the Spanish Empire should have a designated official in charge of starting these threads, señor Dejon?

I would prefer to see active citizens start them on their own. While we may on occasion get a couple of threads started for the same turn, such situations are quickly sorted out. The more tasks we give to "officials", the less the citizenry feels involved.

True, as has happened in the SPDG, somewhat.

Could someone look into the comparison of our military with others?

Well, according to 2800 B.C. demographics, we are in 6th place with 13 years of military service.... basicly: (4 military units)*(10 years service)/(3 population points) = 13.333 years of service.

There is no way to know how many units the other teams have but since ND and GoW should have 3 pop. points each (by Señor DAVOUT's new formula) then it is safe to say our rank in relation to them isn't skewed by radically different populations. Those two definitely have more than our 4 military units and more than us... [edit] if indeed they are not in 7th place but I doubt it .

Of course, Lux could have a higher Military service but still have a lower number of units. If they lost a city, it would mean they could have 2 units and a city size of 1 and have 20 years of Military service.

If we could ascertain all the other teams population sizes we could get a fairly good estimate of where we stand. I haven't the time to do so right this second, but I will post more tonight if no one else has at that time.

                        ruby-maser,

Do you mean that the military advisor is referring to number of years of mil service ?

Thats a pretty good question. I don't have the save on me so I was going by the demographics. I think the military advisor is going by the sum of attack points (and maybe defense points), and so it would probably be a accurate estimate than Military Service is.

But at the small size of our militaries, would a one military unit advantage register at all?

It is important to know how we fare against the 3 others, because they see the same thing as us (in reverse).
