        Turn Report

Madrid Expedition moved W - can see more ND borders, that do not appear to be from the capital.

        TEG moved S
        Magyar Warriors moved SE
        Visigoth Slaves still irrigating
Madrid Spearman moved W - right below ND Scout
Pamplona Warriors moved NW with Workers

Science Slider moved down to 90% (no change in science or finance)

Military Advisor says we are average compared to ND and Lux, and stronger than GoW.

We are 2nd in game and Madrid is the top city.

The 2800 and 2850 B.C. demographics show us at #2 ranking in Land Area (2950 B.C. does not show this but I could not find 2900 B.C. records). This is a concern because someone already has a third city... unless the unlikely event that someone has already built a temple in their second city and the borders already expanded.

Comparisons between the demographics in 2800 B.C. and 2850 B.C. are not conclusive as to who this could be. Maybe GS and Vox are at war. Maybe Lux is at war with ND or GoW. However, the same comparison shows that Neu Theben just produced another settler... so if it is ND that has three cities already, they are on their way to getting their fourth!

I imagine that we would have heard from someone, GF or Trip, If there was a war between the two of them.

I suspect that Lux is moving their Capitol & their first city. If they had desided that the Capitol would be better at anouther location & that thier first city needed to move a bit, then they might have abandoned their first city by building a settler, theirby moving their capitol to the other City & then moving the fist City to a better Site.

It's just a possibility, but might explain the scores

I find it difficult to believe they could be that stupid. Might as well build the Pyramids as a shieldbank for the Manhattan project.

              Of course anything is possible...

If they had had 2 Cities AND had Abandoned their Current Capitol to make a Settler, then the Capitol would move to the other City. THey might have done this to have their Capitol in a more central location to the area thay they plan to inhabit AND to have it further away from the other Civs, thereby, being better defended.

It would put them back with Research and other things at teh start, but with only Human & no Hell for bent REX'ing AI, it might just be a very prudent strategy on their part.

It could also explain a few other things, like them wanting us not to go north. Them wanting to enter this alliance with us, and their desire to work with us when it comes to the tech tree.

when you abandon a city, do you get a settler back?
or, by abandon, do you mean building a settler and disbanding?

Because, if you were to immediately get your settler back by abandoning, this would be very helpful and could make sense.

I had meant that they likely had built a settler & disbanded, not Abandoning.

even at this early stage, is it possible that one of them has built a temple and expanded a second cities borders, or their capitols borders quicker?

Interesting hypothesis. Could be justified by extremely better sites?
