what is the difference between the popping of the hut and the potential build of a settler or warrior?

It will take some hard building to get a road across the mountains to the Valley of Cows, let alone to the mysterious Jungle Squid that they say produces fabric for clothes. Our world looks very small. Will we have enough room to expand? The road to the next valley would have to be built over the mountain NE of Gold Mountain. I would rather leave the forest next to Madrid alone so the deer have somewhere to live and we can get a good supply of venison.

AOO.... aoo... aoo
ECHO... echo... echo
Nice up here.
We have been walking in the mountains for weeks now.
I can look down and I see apes in the treetops.
We are descending, but I don't know if we should enter the jungle yet.
OOC: Dejon, are you with your warriors and me on the TEG,
the expedition? My words are backed with hard coconuts.

If so, some people were wanting to have extra defense in case popping the hut did result in barbarians... to protect the slaves and improvements around the city.
I, however, am not that concerned about it...
Who said that!?!
sorry, I couldn't remain unbiased
that darn font in the back of my head... anyway, IIRC, the odds of getting a map of the region, settler, military unit, gold, or barbarians is 20% each (provided no settler in queue of course)"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country." -- Abraham Lincoln

althought that was a nice tangent.oh, you!
anyway, borders expand in 1 turn... warrior in 3
2 turn difference"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. We should get some beer ready. This may get a higher rating than the Waterfall Festival going on... the sacking of Madrid
Actually, I think the city is safe. Because of our good defensive position behind a river in the hills, our warrior will get a defensive strength of 2 instead of 1. But watch out, everybody else.
Of course, we'll have to laugh if its something else and we spent all so much anxiety (and beer) over it"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew. Ok, then Poupon is the one who can consult directly with me in the field... Where we should go, what to eat and not to eat, whom to kill and not to kill, etc.
Now, as we are walking down the moutain, I was thinking of entering the jungle (NE) but I'm not sure if its safe.
We just spotted a huge snake strangling a monkey in an opening there. We just named it Anaconda after one soldiers ex-wife, whom he left for safety reasons...My words are backed with hard coconuts.

I hope your son takes my nephew Jordí with you, Señor Dejon. He needs to get out of the house now that Aunt Esmeralda has passed on and we don’t need him to run errands for her. Every time I try to mention to my pupils about the proper way to eat squid, I hear these “Aargh” noises followed by wood chopping with the stone axe. We’ve already got enough wood to last us for 6 months. I don’t think he’s very happy with my brother Ronní’s choice of business that he inherited.
