Thank you, Your Eminence. Is there anything that I should do as new head of the Pikesfan family for the ritual? More to the point, is there anything my poor Great-Aunt Esmeralda can do? She is still very distraught and will wear nothing but black. Could you say some wise words to her?
You can tell her that he is in a better world now, and that we all go there eventually. In his case, sadly, he went there sooner rather than later.

[OOC: How old is the High Priest? If he is elderly, it would be nice if there could be in our story. He could be very charmed by the demure respectability of Great-Aunt E., and courtly words could be exchanged and then dinners somewhere, though I don’t know where now that the Calamari family is in trouble, and then, no not the Lover’s Beach but suddenly he realizes as he sees the Despot’s children and grandchildren that being High Priest is a very lonely job and he needs someone to share the rest of his life with, i.e. matrimony, wouldn’t it be romantic? Besides, it would make us seem even more crazy and harmless to the other teams!

Though all this won’t work if Great-Aunt E. is older than the High Priest ]
OOC: Considering how long we've had the same High Priest for, he would be ancient, and will probably die fairly soon, but he's probably old enough that he has little interest in such things /OOC

      High Priest!

Sir, I have a note for you: While reading through the scrolls of theology, I found note that possessed individuals in pact with demons may only be killed by an object made of silver! I have donated some silver weapons for use in such cases.

Secondly, sir, I ask you a favor:

Train me to learn the arts of the priesthood, for my soul yearns for a greater meaning. I should like to be ordained to be one of the priests of Iberia, if at all possible.

Hmmm... that is an interesting piece of information. I shall keep that in min when dealing with the cases.

fire is how we set one´s soul free at the burial ceremony. We must kill heretics with a veremonial stone axe, as to keep his soul at the axe, condemned to see the blood of his heretic kin.
This is, if the high priest finds it fitting....

No, no. Fire is the only way to banish a soul from this world. If we allow it to remain, then it will escape and continue to do evil. If we burn the evildoer, combined with the proper spells, then they and whatever has possessed them will be permanently banished from this world.

Not unless they have been demonically tainted in some way (i.e. used in demonic rituals, consecrated to evil spirits, etc.). Otherwise, it becomes the property of the Priesthood, who will dispense it as they see fit.

Senor Tacticus, I have noticed now that many accusations of demon possession are flying throughout our fair city of Madrid.

While it is important to get rid of the possessed, we need not go too far, accusing everyone of everything. (Not that this has happened...yet.) We do not need the accused's families to have a deep inner hatred of the High Priest and therefore the Government for killing one of their family leaders.

I am sure that you can strike the right balance between eliminating demons and keeping the peoples happy. (Of course, eliminating demons is a very important thing, but they do not possess all the peoples.)

I, Señor jdjdjd do bequeath all my possessions (I have nothing much) to my love, the bar wench, Beatriz S. Muybonita, who is currently pregnant with our third child, they are all at an undisclosed location until this trial ends. And I call on the God Poseidon to appear here as a witness. And I pray to our High Preist to spare my soul. And I beg Supreme Leader Togas to intercede on my behalf and save me from the punishment I may face.
Note: the Law Offices of jdjdjd are temporarily closed.

I thank you, High Priest, for the position. I shall tend the altar as beautifully and wisely as anyone can, and I shall be your humble servant, and the humble servant of the good spirits.

As for heretics, they can be killed as the High Priest sees fit, but evidence proves that demoniacs and witches and warlocks can only be killed by the weapon of silver. Thus, if Senor Jdjdjd does not die when he is executed, we shall know to polish the silver garotte.

You seem to be implying that the mere accusation of possession is enough for an execution. Not so. We will kill only those who it had been prove are demonically possessed. Those who are possessed must die.

You really like digging yourself in deeper, don't you? Evrything you say merely adds to the evidence against you.

It is so. We must arm ourselves with silver and go out and destroy the possessed!

As to Senor Jdjdjd's guilt, there can be no doubt of it! He is a Cultist, and the Cult must be crushed before it gets out of hand and threatens religious and political stability. Let us hope Jdjdjd is only just a Cultist and not as I fear a demoniac. Otherwise...the silver garotte.

I request the high priest a ceremonial burial for my recent deceased son, Henrique Winterius. May it be as expensive as needed, and sumptuous as possible.

High Priest, I shall also make arrangements for the soon-to-be funeral of my soon-to-be late father, who is advanced of age, and will no doubt be soon killed in the next waterfall drop, or so. I have prepared a tomb for him, though, on the family estate. He requested it personally, and so I have seen to it. A beautiful spot, under his beloved peach trees. The blossoms will fall upon his sepulchre in the Autumn. I cannot bare to think of it.
