Let's see...Dec 1 is...a Sunday. Anything past 12 CST (hrm. Isn't CST GMT-6? That would make that a GMT time of lets see...12+6=18, 1800 and past okay.) I'm guessing anything past 1800GMT is open for me. Are we going to have daily chats for every turn, or after a while will we just be expected to download the map?
And yes, I do have PTW and will be available for the entire last half of the day.
(ANd maybe the first I can't remember! Ow, my brain hurts
)
EDIT: I mean, 12 noon CST.Last edited by mrmitchell; November 26, 2002, 18:40.meet the new boss, same as the old boss

I might be available on the 1st, but probably not until later in the afternoon, we are having company that probably won't leave until after 12 noon EST. My appearances may be sporadic depending on many factors. I don't have PTW but as Arnelos says, I could still give advise.
GK, if you do end up playing the first round of turns, do you have ability to post screen shots in the forums for adaMada, myself and any one else who may happen in?Note: the Law Offices of jdjdjd are temporarily closed.

I got the game today. I have a problem with the new patch, though. After installing and restarting the PC it asks to put the PtW Disc in the drive, even though the disc is already inserted. How I hate such things!
So I'm not sure whether I'll be available at December 1st...Civ3 PtW Democracy Game info: (links work only for Roleplay-team members)

I will not be available until 9pm EST on Sunday, Dec 1. In fact, I will be away from my computer Thurs - Sun of this week.
If there is anything else left to do, or questions unresolved, please PM me.

I hope so ArnelosOriginally posted by Arnelos
ada... this isn't really true. Though the game is now multiplayer and there are a few new units, improvements, and wonders, it's basically the same game.
That said, your inability to load the save file will be a problem, but I'd think that if you were in the chat and people were talking about our situation, you could surmise the situation and provide good advice
. If nothing else, I hope to at least be someone's assistant once we've made diplomatic contacts -- I assume that most Diplomacy will be through the forums, and that should be pretty similar to the standard Civ3
.
I'm still wondering how to deal with not loading the sav -- I'll probably just have to use my imagination
.
Either way, it sounds like most people from our team'll be away, so I'll try to be there the 1st, though I don't know that I'll be able. Again, I probably won't be able to help -- but at least our team'll have one more representative
.

Woohoo!
I hadn't bought PTW because I'm not supposed to buy anything for myself after November 1st - because of my birthday (mid-Dec) and xmas. I talked my wife's ears off the last couple of nights out my character ideas for my participation in this game, and mentioned in passing that the game started this Sunday. She caught on and told me to just go buy the damn game if it would shut me up - so I did!
Now I can do more than just roleplay - what do we need?
And yes, I'm available this Sunday.
