I have a working copy of PTW

    However...

I will be visiting my brother in Indiana that weekend (November 29th - December 1st). I don't remember when my flight from Indianapolis to Washington National lands , so I'll have to go look that information up later. If I remember correctly, I should land sometime around noon, but it'll probably be several hours before I get home (I have to stay with my grandmother and drive her back to her retirement home from the airport before going home myself ).

Just got my copy today (at last!) I'm installing it now. I hope everything will go OK.

      Edited after installing the game:

¡Maravilloso! ¡Funciona! I'm going to play a game now to see how it works...

Oh my God! I'm reading the civ description. It says that Spain transitioned into a constitutional monarchy in 1969. But it was in 1975!!!

I have a copy of PtW and I haven't made any plans for December 1st. Its a Sunday-- I should be around the house.

I am in the same situation as Arnelos ... sort of. We're driving out to visit my mother for Thanksgiving weekend. I will return either late Saturday night or Sunday afternoon ... not sure yet, still "working out" details with my siblings.

I'm going to try to be back Saturday night, Nov 30th.

How did you get it? In a European store or via an internet order? PtW was supposed to be released today in Europe, but the release date has been delayed for some countries and I'm a bit confused here... Couldn't find it in Brussels today anyway.

I have contacts. A friend of mine is studying in Canada and was so kind to buy me a copy and sent it by postal mail

I think that also if you know any shop which imports american games you can buy it a that shop. Some months ago I bought a copy of Heores of Might & Magic IV at one of this shops in Madrid.

grrr.... change of plans... my flight will be landing at around 8 p.m. on the 1st (100 GMT on Monday the 2nd), so it's likely I won't be available AT ALL until rather late that day

Shall we plan on meeting in a seperate chat room, so that we may discuss what is occuring as the game starts? I don't think that has yet been decided on who is to start (trip will I assume), the order, nor the time to expect the game.

This is what I expect. Around 12 noon EST it will be posted. The order will be determined, so on and so forth. each team will download the save, look at it and chat for a few minutes (say up to 15) then post the save. Now, each team will have a couple of hours to wait until their next turn (7 teams, 15 minutes or so each), to work out all sorts of plans. Then they give them to their leader, who hangs around waiting for the next save. After the first two turns, I expect things to go rather quick, just long enough to download, move the warrior/scouts around some, change a build order, set a new research item, and so forth. As the leaders will all be around, even diplomicy if it occures will be short and sweat. But for the first 10-20 turns, I doubt many people will find each other. I would guess it will take around 4-6 hours to get 10 turns done. Then, we start the normal rotation of one save, one day, until each team can get together again.
Just wait until the industrial age....
In order for this to work, each team will have to have confidence in the person playing, as they are the one around to make the call. If other members are available, they can be contacted and maters discussed. OK does this make any sense, or am I just rambling on. later. GK

I can probably be there on December 1st, but don't have PTW.

I might show up anyway for support, but honestly, without PTW I'm no use whatsoever, so...

ada... this isn't really true. Though the game is now multiplayer and there are a few new units, improvements, and wonders, it's basically the same game. That said, your inability to load the save file will be a problem, but I'd think that if you were in the chat and people were talking about our situation, you could surmise the situation and provide good advice

Sorry but, can someone tell me at which time GMT will the game start? I guess I will be available on Sunday.
