  • BC 4000 (Thread Structure)

    What about this structure:

    [BC/AD] [date] [(subject)]

for a thread topic (see for an example this topic) to keep things fresh and actual during the game ..? Like for threads that need a decision / discussion during the =current= turn (or very shortly thereafter).

    Examples:

    BC 4000 (Interior)
Where shall we found our first city?

    AD 700 (Foreign)
The Legoland Team asks for peace - shall we accept?

This way, you'll always know that a thread is out-of-date, or needs immediate attention.

The more strategic issues can be resolved in 'normal' threads.

Looks good. Well organized threads can make this a lot better for us.

BTW: We should have an ambassador in each country too...

I would wager that the Foreign Minister's "advisors" would essentially become ambassadors and/or intelligence specialists for the other civs...That would be up to whomever the Foreign Minister is...

I concur. Foreign Minister should supervise all diplomats. He CAN be a diplomat himself if he wants to, but we should stick to appointing some other member to a) lighten the minister's load and b) give the member's more involvement
            :-p

I don't think we have enough members to cover all of the other teams with diplomat spots... We barely have enough active ones to cover the necassary ones...

True... we don't need diplomats in while anyway. Maybe in a couple of months we meed the first civ on the map... One thing I've also noted when playing boardgames with about 8 players is that the player who keeps the lowest profile and stays out of pacts/agreements often is the most successful.
