I really don't like Gendo as a person though. As a character he is good, but his personality just really clashes with mine.

If you choose Gendo as the leader, I may have to pull a Rei and still his arm.

BFM's suggestion has my vote! Finally, Gendou's image, rather than his personality, is what we should really be concerned with here. As an over-lordish persona, he's perfect. You want the enemy grovelling, not drueling over your visage!

I dunno, instead of a intimidating stoic faced guy with glasses, I'd rather go for Mr.Rogers, childlike, next door neighbor image to warm up and pacify our opponents...
