As of right now, we have narrowed down the civ choices to:

    Kloreep - Egypt
    quantum - Greeks
    Redstar1 - Germany
    lmtoops - Japan
    ZargonX - Ottomans or Persia
Sharpe - Babylon, Greek, Ottomans or Persia
Tiberius - waiting for all of us to decide

Well I will gladly withdraw from my Greek choice so that quantum gets it and I will give ZargonX his choice of those 2 and then choose between Babylon and one of Ottomans or Persia (unless Tiberius wants one of these). I can live with any of those 3.

Well, in that case, I guess I'll settle on Persia. Haven't played with them in a while, and I think it's high time I got back to it. Though, I will miss those Sipahai...

        It is then:

        quantum - Greeks
        Redstar1 - Germany
        lmtoops - Japan
        ZargonX - Persia
        Sharpe - Babylon or Ottomans

Tiberius - I'll try the Arabs for a change

OK, Tibi, can you give me full settings you wish me to use for setting up the game for you, please? Sorry for not digging it from this thread - I am a bit busy right now... both business-wise and Legoland-wise.

As soon as Sharpe will tell us that he wants Babylon or the Ottomans, I'll update the first post in this thread with all the important info. Please wait for my "approval" post, when I'll say "Go ahead, set up the game" and then you can gather all the needed info from the first post. Thanks

                Hmm - heads or tails

(Sharpe flips a coin - and looks at it - and realizes that he has just flipped a two headed coin - hmm... gets another but realizes that this one is a two tailed coin...)

K, I choose Ottomans. (Can't risk possibly being near jungle with a non-industrious civ as much as I like Babylon).

I seem to be having problems with my internet connection - can't seem to stay connected for more than a few minutes at a time (on cable no less) - so my apologies if I don't reply or read the messages very quickly. Hopefully I can get this straightened out soon...

                  All is done. Let's roll

(all settings in the first post)

Should somebody get a really crappy start, I suggest we restart. Vondrack will be the judge

It turns out I will be away from the computer from 21:00 today to sometime sunday. This means I either have to get the save game before 21:00 or wait untill my listed time on sunday. I am very sorry for the inconvenience, but there really isn't much I can do about it.

No problem, quantum. We didn't start it yet. We're waiting for Radek to set up the game. Maybe I should have said literally:

Go ahead, set up the game!

Yeah, sorry, missed the first "go ahaed" post. I have spent most of today rerunning my O2E sim - just posted the update. I have to do some business stuff this evening (been neglecting it last week), but I will set the game up for you tomorrow, ok?

Sorry guys, I really wanted to let you start, but I had an awful lot of work with getting the ISDG forum organized on Sunday and yesterday.

Setting the game for you is the task #1 on my today's list.

                                OK,

I have finally set the game up for you. Sorry for the delay. I used a custom generated map to make sure that your starting positions are somewhat comparable.

The game really is at Monarch even if played under 1.14f (I verified it by test playing a couple of turns), so keep those citizens happy!

                                Good luck, everybody!

4000BC savegame sent to Sharpe few minutes ago.

P.S.: You have no idea how strong the temptation to name the leader of Egyptians "Kloreepatra" was...
