After you agree on settings, would you like me to try setting the game up at Regent? I have recently learned about a rather laborious, but reportedly working trick how to get around the all-PBEM-games-at-Chieftan bug...

I wouldn't dare to ask you to reinstall your Civ3+PtW copy (IIRC it is part of the trick), but if you are willing to, why not ?

Yes, it is. Fortunately, I have got several computers here and Civ3+PtW 1.14f is installed on the main one only. I can do a fresh install on another one, keeping the 1.04f install there just for the sake of setting PBEM games up.

Hmm, nice thingy. I'll ask only you from now on to set up PBEM games for me just kidding

My e-mail is benNO@surveypointSPAM.com (remove NO and SPAM of course). My playing hours vary through the week with classes; evenings are good on SMWS, TTF I'm available in the afternoon and late evening. I'm in Central, so that's ~01-05 GMT S-M-W-S and ~19-23 and 03-05 GMT T-T-F. (If you can make sense of all those abbreviations at once, you get 5 points. )

Map settings look good. Regent is good, barb setting I dunno.

If I can get Egypt, civs should be picked. j/k Maybe we should all pick a few civs NOT to play, and determine things randomly from there (re-rolling the die, re-running the program or whatever if one of a player's undesired civs comes up).

Kloreep, I have no idea what hours to put for you in the setup-post We need your average or usual playing hours, so to determine in what order to play the turns.

My playing time is 1800 - 2300 CST, which converts to 0000 - 0500 GMT. I'll try to sqeeze in a turn when ever the save is available, but those are my main playing hours.

I'm ready to play any civ in any condition. I fail equally at all levels and settings.

I would rather set the barbarians at normal level. I'm play one game that a player insisted on no barbarians/no good huts. That makes for a more boring early game. My warriors keep wandering around looking for huts that don't exist. Warriors are tough, but very slow on the mental side.

Kloreep, I'll put for you the 19 - 05 GMT playing hours, is that OK?

The only things remained then are:
                        - the email address of Sharpe
                        - how do we choose civs? How about Radek (when setting up the game) throwing them in a hat and choosing for each of us one? Like I said, the available civs would be those involved in this PtW demo game. Please tell it now if you don't like some of the settings/civs, whatever.

                              Remove the "(NOSPAM)".

As for choosing civs, I would initially suggest that we list our top 3 or 4 preferences - maybe we can narrow down the amount of picking out of a hat we might have to do that way.

                                That should work.

At this point, I just want to get the game started. I agree it should be random, but it would be nice to be able to eliminate some civs from your chances...
