    At some point, the benefit will exceed the work. IMHO, we have reached that point, but that's probably my laziness.

    As the game advances, we would use our experience to gauge the best path and use specific mods/tests to check on our assumptions. For example, if we want to optimize a particular city for shields. We can create a mod of that city and run it or we could use Vondracks spreadsheet and do the same.

      I agree, all that work is not necessary. It's quite possible to run a city through the next turns in a spreedsheet, or even manually yourself (which is my preferred method of operation). Artificial simming as necessary is much more efficient at this point.

      Scenarios are still useful though, for determining corruption levels and such.
