Kloreep!! I loaded the scenario and I woke up in 4000BC near a Japanese warrior the first time and near a german one the second time somewhere in the newly discovered southern area !!! I'm not an expert in the scenario editor but my scenario is much better than that!

Btw, to model the 2 techs we got from the goody huts, I gave Chartage Cer. Burial and Warrior Code from the beginning. Also in my scenario you can start in the right place!!

Shoot, I layed it all out correctly for the last player slot, but forgot to set the human player to that Civ! Corrected. It should work now.

Sorry to hear about those Germans. Join the Civ3 DG; we're thrashing 'em there.

          *bump*

Is anyone using this? Should I keep updating it?

            Kloreep,

I haven't used it yet, but I think that if you have the time, it could and probably will be very useful for testing things.

All right, I'll keep updating it then.

Kloreep, when you make a simulator that starts in a certain year (let's say 2590 BC), how can you simulate something (unit/improvement/wonder) that is in production in a city for several turns (and obviously is not ready yet)? Can you do this with the editor?

There's no way to set it in the editor. To simulate shields fairly accurately (you can only do even numbers with this method), just create some extra warriors in the city and disband them on turn 1. I don't think this works with wonders, but it should with units/improvements.

I don't know of anyway to simulate food, but it luckily looks like you don't need that. If you just wanted to simulate growth during a project, I guess you could add an extra citizen to the city in the editor and make them an entertainer till they would be there in the actual game.

Kloreep, one thing: your simulator starts in 4000BC. You forgot to set the starting year in the editor.

This is a good idea! Thanks.

Good point. I didn't really think it mattered, but I suppose it does for culture.

I've updated Kloreep's Lego simulator, as follows:

                        - it starts in 2510 BC
                        - the turns lasts now 40 years, not 50
                        - map updated
                        - difficulty was reduced to warlord (even though in reality it is probably chieftain)
                        - I've put a unit in Jackson that must be disbanded and thus the mercenary will be ready in 2 turns (before disbanding the unit don't forget to change the production from warrior to num.merc.)

Other than the research it is pretty accurate.

The problem is, I'm at home and I can't upload it. I'd send it through email if somebody volunteers to host it

Edited: I forgot about the barbarians. They are included, too. (but only the 2 warriors; I don't know how to add an encampment and even if I knew, I don't know where it is )

Whoops, just did my own update before I read this. It has everything you included too, except the unit in Jackson; I haven't been including disband units, though I probably should. (And I cranked the difficulty down to Chieftan; I guess this is an assumption.)

Since you're the sim guru now, want to take over the sim making? I can host them and put links in this thread.

BTW, I think barbarian camps are in the overlays menu.

Sim guru I've lived to hear this

OK, no problem. Can I email them to you so you can host them?

PS You must have seen the unit in Jackson, the one that should be disbanded

Sure. kloreep@nettaxi.com should work (it's actually not my primary address, but I can't seem to save attachments in my e-mail client right now ).
