How many turns, before the RP war starts ?
How many turns, before the GS war starts ?

Can we afford 4,5,6 turns of non-productive anarchy ?

I think we need military now.

Yes, I think I agree with HE. Wait until we have at least the 6 horseman and maybe 2-4 extra spearman.

...and pop the units before we switch to get them faster...

Wait till we have the number of forces that we "owe" for the rp war. Also I wonder how much republic will help us at this stage.

If we are going to start warmongering, I doubt republic will help us much, plus take into account that switching governments will cause us various turns of anarchy and it's a prince I ain't willing to pay... yet.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't anarchy take longer as our empire grows? Let's not take too many cities before we switch.

There are two factors that determine the length of anarchy.

              1) Rel civ trait. We don't have this, so it doesn't effect us.

              2) Level of difficulty. I know for sure that the higher difficulty you are, the quicker an AI civ recovers from anarchy. I am not sure if it works for human civs. In this case, we would suffer from 1 to 5 turns of anarchy.

I say wait until war ends. We are going to experience war weariness in Republic anyway.

WW is either removed, or extremely curtailed in MP games.... or so the rumor goes...

the war weariness will be manageable (I hope). I'm worried we might suffer too many turns of anarchy and I wouldn't want that to hinder either our buildup or our actual warmaking.

My question is how long will it take to make up for the lost production of Anarchy? Several of our tiles will produce more shields under Republic and our corruption will be much lower allowing the four farthest cities to have better production.

This is a good time to switch since we won't lose much as our cities are fairly small and just now growing and the anarchy doesn't affect food growth.

I think the main variables is how many turns till the RP war or whatever other war we are going to get into?

once we know that we can tell if we'll have enough time to make up for lost production before we start warmongering.

The most imminent war we are going to get into is the one on Little Bob. For this, we need 6 horseman on their continent before the war starts. Last I saw, we have at least three already. If we pop rush the remainder of the required units, we should have an adaquate defensive force left on Bob should something occour (which I don't forsee as ND won't attack, and RP is just too far away to take advantage).

well, then, let's pop rush the remaining, and start kicking GS butt.

BTW, are we REALLY sure we're going to beat GS with Vox's immortals and our 6 horsemen? They will be one tough nut to crack (let's hope I'm wrong)
