MY thought is that the map was PREMADE before the game began as everyone's start location was virtually perfect for what they wanted.
We started on a hill adjacent to a river with luxuries, our dream spot. Lego started on their own private continent perfect for a builder civ. GS started with plains, rivers, and fur in forest for chopping and gaining quick shield bursts early. The perfect start according to the posts of Sir Ralph and nye. They also only had one other civ with them who required Iron and the Iron was all down near them not the other civ.
The whole layout of the map and team positions was just a little too perfect. But it would take a lot juevos to start that way..........
I don't believe this to be true, but elements and situations keep arising that cause this bad feeling to resurface over and over again.
HOWEVER....
It's always possible Lego is playing both sides and has given them info on the location of that Saltpeter, or has traded them Gunpowder, or they have researched Gunpowder on their own.
