Vox hasn't posted a war report this turn (yet, though it's been several hours since they forwarded the turn).
I suggest not to ask them publicly if they're going to issue one. It'd be kind of arrogant of us.

I have to admit, I'm puzzled by the almost complete lack of reaction to our "Tales of the Storm" thread in the main forum.

We essentially announced we got a leader, and nobody seems to care.

I'm not sure what to make of that.

I bet 95% of people didn't even read them.

/me wants to say "I told you so".

I think it's a case of those who supported Vox now realize that they've been betting on the wrong horse, Vox themselves must realize their own impending doom, and everybody else is keeping their heads down till they see what the heck we are going to use it for.

But then, what would we be posting publically if someone else announced they'd got a leader? I wouldn't think it was something that required public reaction. When we end up with two wonders in quick succession, that might result in some behind-the-scenes discussion about whether we are becoming too powerful, which may not go well for us, but I'd have thought that the immediate public reaction would be small, until everyone has assessed the new situation.

Nahhh, I'd not worry too much about that.....the GL isn't considered one of the powerhouse wonders....VERY handy, especially with our primative ships, but not on par with some of the heavy hitters (like the one Lego beat us to, or the one we're about to get....free buildings....yummy)

Will all the other teams get the notification that we built Sun Tzu's this turn or the next?

As long as one team notices I'm sure the news will spread quickly. They like to gossip about us, it seems.

You can be sur that GoW will know when they get the pop-up that they no longer can build it....

Too bad we didnt get the GL removing their horsies....

                      • Should have thought of this earlier, we should have used the GL to force GOW into peace. Sign peace or we build the GrLi.

                        • I think our own comments on 'our announcements' should stay in here, not be posted in the public threads. If/When people start bringing up points in the public thread, address them of course.

As for people responding to the stories, it's not a big deal. I've really been interested in "The Trappings of War", but haven't posted anything in those threads. Mainly because nothing said in there has anything to do with us. Our stories include GoW and Vox, and given the nature of their involvement I wouldn't expect them to want to participate a whole lot.

Vox's public announcements are easier for us to deal with because they are mainly just propaganda with little to no truth ('advancing on the capitol' is just 'advancing to their death' in our perspective). If it were true, and we were losing this thing rather badly, responding wouldn't be as easy.

This is the point when we need to be very careful of rubbing Vox's nose in anything. Self congratulations (meaning GS to GS), even if it's just for the way a story is told, is going to look bad to the other teams.
