  • Turn 97, 630 BC

To be edited by the leaders of the Scholia.

    Status:

Check this and every turn to see if we lost some war unweariness due to the killing of troops within cultural borders and therefore must readjust the lux slider.

    Urgent questions:

    - Where do we take our stand?

    Military:

    Economy:

    -Workers(3) 4 of Arashi road(2).
    -Worker 7 of Tempest road(2).
    -Workers(3) 8 of Hurricane mine(3)?
-Worker 9 of Bolderberg move 77 to road.
-Worker 14 of EotS move 47 to road (alternate 847 to mine).
-Worker 6 of EotS move 998 to road.

    Diplomacy:

    - Deal with ND postponed (due to be bureaucracy, we are told).

    Thread library:
    - Standing orders for workers (Orders last revised April 5.)

Is it here yet Oh man, I hope this one arrives very soon

Shiber; you stil need to contact GoW bout the 'ruse' not being accepted by GS.

Oh, right. I have neglected my duties as ambassador...

I will write something up and present it for verification shortly.

Oh man, you really daren't spend any time away from the PC with the way this forum works. Since the weather is so nice I've spent most of the last 24 hours hanging out in the sunshine with my g/f - only to come back and find about a million posts have come up while I've been away.

GS - "the team that never sleeps"

        And Vel's here! Howdy partner

/me tries to catch up on the events of the last 24 hours, and make sense of how it all effects his Infocenter.

Hiya Stoo! Yep....got a note that said we were in a spot of trouble, so I couldn't resist the lure of finding out how the Empire had developed, and lending whatever help I could....

          EDIT: LOVE the new Avatar!

Hopefully they really did have Horses... can't see them having Swords... Maybe we get a GL shot with that Elite WC now? *crosses fingers*

The real question is whether they mean to really go to war with us or not? Probably plays out as a fake war anyway we play it. We cant get to them, and they can't get much to us... at least if either side isn't willing to expose themselves to their neighbors.

See the GoW comments thread for my response, in case we open up next save, and find them. Maybe we can't wage war with them, and they not with us, but there is no reason to keep the fake war going... others are allowed to know what they are doing.

And yes, 2 horsies would make great GL fodder. If they didn't land on the mountains, like they should (on the iron, to be precise) have.

They've landed on the hill 1 of Monsoon.

If this is a real war then:

                      GoW lands adjacent to Monsoon

Vox moves the immortals A88 to M6. thus cutting off our ability to take out the horses. Vox moves stack A9.

Hmm. that doesn't make much sense to me, as Vox could do the same thing without GoW.

But we shall see. Perhaps the vox stack will stay still as GoW enforcements arrive? Isn't there a second galley a few turns away?

Naw. Just in a more interesting position.

Severely in need of garrisons on the South Coast too.

We will get plenty of warning about GoW landings on the south coast, unless they get lucky with a suicide galley, but garrisons sure would make us sleep a little more soundly.

Our fast, sea-roaming galleys will make a perfect early-warning system, as soon as they reach their positions.

Bah....I read it as standard public forum bluster. They can't plant enough forces here with galleys to hurt us, long term. They'd need an economy nearly 4x the size of ours to build a sufficient number of galleys AND a sufficiently sized army for the task....and that's without taking into consideration defense of the home front.
