  • Hail, Deep One!

I dunno, bro.....they're *at least* ten turns from being able to mount a serious threat at the capitol. That's half our GA in unit production. If they give us that kind of time to prepare before they decide to use their force, they're goners. Also, it'd mean stepping off the relative safety of the mountains. I think that would be a HUGE risk for them to take.

I'm willing to bet that they do NOT have our WM, and thus, they have no clear picture of what we have coming for them....with our rate of production, in ten turns, we'd have a larger force to bring to bear on them, and could arrange ourselves to have most, if not all of the attack advantages. Too risky for them, IMO.

    • Vel, you know they have our EotS region because of a built embassy, right? That shows not only the 21 tiles near EotS, but also the outskirts of that, meaning another 24 tiles. The don't see Tempest yet, but it will be close, they see most of our core Northern.

As to a serious threat: I agree, of course. However, I was trying to think of what their initial goals would be in this game, and assuming they still think we're weak (which we more or less are), I see T3 as a clear goal of them to reach. Of course, if I was them, I would take all cities on my way in... meaning Arashi first, Tempest later (Monsoon possibly to, but only after Arashi is secured)

If they investigate Arashi before attacking it, they maybe will try to take it, maybe not. However they will certainly see that they can't aim for EotS, because too many forces are present there. Which would mean that they will stay on the mountains, trying to deal with the forces in Arashi asap. In that case, I would certainly go for the knights split if I spot it, and already they know there is another city where Tempest is (not knowing the map)

      • Luckily you can't investigate cities while at war with the civ you want to investigate... until spies at least.

No one else has an embassy with us yet right? Because they could investigate (if they see the city on the map) and send the information to Vox.

You can't? Wow, that changes everything. AFAIK, nobody else has an embassy, but it would be good to check this every turn

            • Yeah, good point, we should definitely keep an eye out for that.

No spy = no city investigation while at war. They really don't know what we have in Arashi (though I'm sure they have figured out we have at least 2 pikemen and a couple of swords & WCs).

Let's hope they think we have less than we do, and press their attack... and get their asses handed to them.

              • By my count they have seen 2 Spears (Maybe add a Pike if they think we didn't upgrade), a Warrior, 2 Swords, and 4 WC's in the area.

                • Well, I am going to assume that they see everything, including our troops in towns / cities.

They'll bypas A9 (which is roaded) for A3. Then, oblivios to WCs, they will continue to A2... I don;t know what they'll do from there.

If I were them, fortifying and consolidating the small stack would make sense... and then I'd make a run for EotS44, and then for EotS.
