FP: I don't have a log, I was already at work during the chat and could follow only sporadically.
Arrian: Nothing yet, but Vox seems stronger than we thought. 2 of us (Aeson and me) switched our wonder vote from Sun Tzu's to the Lighthouse, in order to have Hurricane free for unit production. We gonna need it.

Vox landed 2 immortals on the top of the coastal mountains (we should think of a name for them). They'll approach Hurricane and would arrive in 4 turns. I suggested to intercept them in the middle, because south of it the mountain range gets wider (2 tiles) and it's harder to block/deflect them. But this would have meant to move this turn.

Sure intercepting them would have been better, but we can still deal with them, can't we?
/me curses that fact that he can't look in the save right now.If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

SR,
Then yeah, we need to move this turn. Intercept ASAP.
I guess I was confused about something... would the Great Library have taken more turns to build? If we were 1 turn from the Pyramids, then we were 1 turn from the GL, right? So the Lighthouse was built at a 100 shield loss, right?
That's fine, the team clearly preferred the Lighthouse, it's just that I thought that both GLs would have freed Hurricane up for unit production immediately, not just the Lighthouse. Am I wrong?
Ok, so we have a landing on the East coast, and a stack coming in from the north...
Can we get some screenies posted in our forum here when someone gets a chance? EDIT: nice crosspost!

Do we really want Arashi building walls? I'd rather have units.
edit: damn, so now we have to block 2 mountain tiles instead of 1.
Well, I definitely want our galleys to go up the east coast and, if possible, sink their galley.

FP: Nothing, sadly. But Monsoon is not a key city. We lose it, so be it. Let's face the fact, that Vox caught us with our pants down. We should have built an appropriate military long ago.
Arrian: Is the Lighthouse 300 or 400 shields? I don't remember, almost never build it.
The Lighthouse has the benefit, that it makes a one-turn galley/caravel shuttle to Bob possible. After Vox RP is due, so it will be useful. More than the GLib, which is of limited worth given the speed of tech whoring and our own considerable research power.

Clearly we would have to hit it with every War Chariot we can muster (hence my wish for a WC out of Arashi, not walls) if we want to keep Monsoon.
Actually, it would be worse if their stack moved "4" instead of "1."
If it moved "1" we could hit it with swords/med inf by moving "7, 1" from Arashi and our slowmovers would stay on the tile "7" from Arashi after winning their battles so as not to be exposed to Vox's second stack. Then WCs can hit and their extra movement would allow them to get out of the way too.
