Wow. What liars. time for their demise.

BTW, this is no off the cuff event.

We are weak. We have been for some time.

To be weak invites attack, especially by neighbours with Immortals.

My money would be on the whole Vox - Bob bit being the ruse. I would not be surprised to see gallies with help from Bob arriving off our shores.

      Reap the whirlwind.

        Let's see.

        Positive:
        - We have a pretty strong economy
        - We have a bunch of warriors ready to upgrade and can make enough money to do so
        - We have a good road network. That's for certain an asset. (edited in)

        Negative:
        - Most of them are merely regulars
        - Our mobile force is insignificant and poorly deployed.
        - We failed to man our foreposts with spearmen. The way down our mountain ranges is free.
        - Our cities are largely undefended (regular warriors or war chariots don't count as defenses
        - We have only 2 barracks (the one in Hurricane doesn't count). This is next to nothing.
        - It takes the pillaging of one road tile to make Vox invulnerable by our UU.

So far it looks, that the negatives outweigh the positives by far. We had it coming.

Can anyone guesstimate how many Immortals Vox might have?

BTW, I take it the settler pumps are being turned off. Yes?

How fast can we get Barracks in those 2 cities?

Cyclone will almost definitely need six turns for a barracks unless we can trigger our GA early. If we add our new settler to EotS the moment it expands to size 7 (probably a good move considering how little an extra city near Vox would do us in the current situation), we can probably get EotS down to five.

We also need to decide whether we want to switch Tempest over to a barracks or to supersize it with an aqueduct first as originally planned.

By the way, we may want to consider whether we want to turn off the pump in Cyclone now or build workers with it for a while to pump up EotS's size.

Pumping up EotS's size is a smart move, IMHO. With one-turn swordsmen both in EotS and Hurricane during our GA nothing will stop us.

I expect most of you will have seen this, but just to make sure we all know:

Vox have also moved onto Bob again. We can only assume that this will result in another declaration of war from GoW and ND.
Betahound says that they "Come in peace, but come with force". So they've split their army in half?!?!?!?! How odd ... oh well, that's less for us to worry about I suppose.

But have they?!?!?! What is that galley doing near our shores instead of shipping units onto Bob, I hardle doubt they have 3 galleys. (didn't they mention that they were using two, to move troops onto BOB)

The Bob sheet was a ruse. A cover.

Grog is dead. I want revenge!

I will smoke a pipe of peace over the capital of Vox. I will smoke it with their ghosts, as they will all be dead.

That's what worries me, if at least three others teams are in this...
