  • Turn 65, 1400 BC

To be edited by the leaders of the Scholia.

    Status:
    - Research idling at 0% investment (technically on Philosophy).
    - 178 gold cash, about +25 per turn.

    Urgent questions:
    - Still haven't made a final decision on the deal with Lux and Vox.
    - Need to discuss what kind of offer ND would have to make for CoL for us to accept it. (*done; (alva)

    Military:

    Economy:
    - Rearrange EotS and Hurricane laborers so EotS finishes its worker next turn without taking any more irrigated furs from Hurricane than necessary and without compromising its two-turn growth rate. (I can't get more precise because I'm not sure which city's new laborer got the irrigated fur this turn.)
    - Worker near Hurricane finishes road, moves 2 (to improve a tile for Tornado).
    - Bolderberg laborer on unimproved grassland moves to horse tile in anticipation of irrigation being finished at the end of this turn.

    Diplomacy:
Waiting for GoW, RP, and possibly ND to send back their offers for Code of Laws. Expecting Literature from RP and 100 gold from GoW; if the offers are as expected, accept them. The team will have to discuss any offer from ND.
    -
    * ND has accepted a 5 gpt deal for CoL (alva)

HotE responded with apologies, as well as acceptance (he will inform GF to send the money). I did not recieve a clarification regarding the NWA, but since i already offered him that, i don't want to withdraw it just like that, if you want, i can ask him to clarify things up "in the name of the team".

I opened the 1400 BC save and the first thing that came up was an offer from ND of five gold per turn for Code of Laws. We need to decide whether or not to accept it, which means I won't be playing the turn right now after all. Personally, I'm inclined to accept considering what all else we're getting for Code of Laws (and the risk that someone else might sell it to them instead).

        Message from ND:

They are willing to give 5GP for Col.

Shall I except or try for more?

I think 5gpt is a good deal for CoL. They could easily get if from somewhere else if we haggle too long, and 100 gold over 20 turns should help us improve our own rate of research without running a deficit.
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

I'd say go for it. 5gpt will help to compensate our upkeep and leave the slider at 100%, while researching Republic, without losing money.

EDIT: The earliest time I can play the turn is in about 9 hours from now on. It wouldn't matter, because we still have over six green hours ahead.

                I agree, 5gpt is a good deal.

I think we have enough of a consensus for me to accept the deal and go on playing the turn.

Deals with GoW and RP went as expected. We now have Literature and (for the moment) 283 gold in our vault.

How long has literature been out on the continent? Anyone building the GL yet? Will the GL be built at all? I'm thinking probably not, unless someone gets a leader. I just don't see there being sustained peace on that continent for very long. And since there is roughly tech parity, not much to be gained by it before education anyways, IMho. Will there be any wonders bulit naturally in the entire game? Maybe only lego if they are building pyramids or colossus.

F7 still comes up blank, so if anyone but Lego is working on a wonder, they're masking it with a prebuild.

Keep in mind that we're working toward building a wonder "naturally" in Hurricane, so there should be at least one wonder a leader isn't responsible for outside Legoland.

Our military advisor characterizes us as weak compared with the teams on Bob but strong compared with those on our continent.

By the way, Lux just built the worker they promised to have improve the land around Portia and then give Vox when Vox reoccupies the place. His location is "6" from the city.
