Actually, I just now realized it was a mistake... there are 3 move crossings to RP. Seeing the screenies, I thought there weren't, but in rechecking after seeing the discussion on the lighthouse, I saw I was wrong.

It wouldn't be right to open up a PM and send it to them, however next time this comes up, I should tell them their mistake. And this is unfortunate, I didn't mind telling them because we couldn't reach them anyway, if I would have thought we could, I would have avoided the question.

You've got a good point when it comes to Vox. However, if they want to burn their fingers, its their choice, I have warned them against doing it and I will warn them again. But, it would also create a reason for us to invade a landmass (not that we need any reason normally, but still)

We can't really ask for gold though, at most from Vox to stop the war. Lego has no dealings with us in these matters, they do as they wish with their territory.

no chat, I was sick from Saturday (had too much to drink). Besides, I wouldn't know what I had to chat about.

I was thinking on sending them a little update Thursday or Friday, as I have a holiday, also explaining that for the moment, we should stop chatting, as we can't disclose too much in our situation... too risky, seeing as everybody wants to invade us.

If anything would get said, it would be that there are a couple of reasons to believe that Bob is uniting against us, but until we're more sure about that, I don't want to spill anything

I don't like to tell them that we don't want to have regular chats anymore because we don't want to consolidate any more information is almost like saying "we don't trust you" right to their faces. Let's put it another way and load it up with some euphemisms.
Another thing not to mention: that we think Bob is uniting against us. They might have not heard anything solid about this, and if we tell them our suspicions, they may inquire about it and even join with the Bobians, if they think that they are united.

Even if the rumor turns out to be true, however (all of Bob united against GS), there's no "victory" to be gained there. 3:1 is a gang-bang, not a measure of ability or skill.

Having said that, I think it unlikely in the extreme that all of Bob will unite against us, or for any other reason, cos in doing so, someone will have to agree to take the fall. We might not be able to get all three, but if we put our minds to it, we could take down at least one.

Nobody wants to take the chance that they'll be the fall guy, and nobody wants to be some other team's patsy.....if there is a coalition (and if there is, my guess would be that it's Togas-led), I predict it will be a short-lived one, and will end violently.

Of course, I was going to pack the message in euphemisms, and I don't want to get out of the regular things, however they will understand. Plus, if they don't ask too much on our situation, I would like a chat. We need them as friends, if Bob unites against us, and that will be very hard to do. I can always say that I was called back by the rest of the team, for giving away too much information, which is more or less right.

As to Bob uniting: agree. However, if Bob unites, and they take out us, Lego knows it's next anyway, or they should realise that. I told them last time, but the way thiings are going now, it only becomes more true.

One thing they are certainly going to ask about is the invasion of GoW, and I don't want to answer that, given the wish of most of GS to not fantasize about that in public.

Vel, that's what's so strange in the current situation. We have many reasons to suspect GoW and RP being close, and seeing that ND is not willing to be our friends, it makes it all so fishy. Maybe ND isn't talking to RP anymore, but then they are getting information from GoW anyway.

Also look at the maps: why would teams that don't like each other share maps? We wouldn't even do it with friends, let alone with (possible) enemies. And ND and GoW have shared maps only turns before Vox sold them to us.

I don't have the answer for that one, bud....but my guess is that none of these guys has anything to gain really by getting themselves mixed up in a messy, costly inter-continental war.....even 3:1, if we played heavy D (which we'd have to), we could make it last a LOOOONG time, and ensure that none of them could snag the win.

If they do that, they all but give the game to Lego.

Very true. If they launch a war against us they might find that Lego have practically won a cultural victory by the time they wipe us out.

Btw, should we probe about the Feud+gold for Theo deal that was proposed earlier?
If we can carry out this deal, and pay a small amount of gold to balance the difference in tech costs, we can mark this down as another sale of Feudalism. However, if we don't, we lose it and we may have to buy Theo in a cash-only deal later.

Soon, we might no longer be able to pay for Theology with Feudalism and we'll have to pay with more gold instead.

It surely can't hurt to enquire about what kind of deals would be possible. We have to try and get some value for Feudalism (besides having pikes to defend against immortals, obviously).

It wouldn't hurt to see what they want, but such a deal would make sense only if the price is right.
