It is indeed better if we do it this turn, as there's still hope we get along with VC. If they withdraw their warriors (and we ours), there's no need to build extra warriors and Hurricane could switch back to barracks without having lost a food.

      And once more:

Nathan, I'm not ignoring the calculations of the Schola of Economy. But please understand, that I can't respond to every post here. That would make me post as much as all others together . There are things I read and keep in mind, till they are urgent to be done. The switch to irrigated furs for one turn was an example for this. I didn't see the urgency to do it now, it could be done at any of the next 3 turns with the same result, so I kept it in mind and would have brought it to the schedule when it was due, probably in the last turn of the 4 turn period.

What I lack is access to a topped thread to maintain short and long term plans, similar to NYEs "Current information". Perhaps I should open such a thread and get it topped, so that my intentions for the next few turns would be more transparent and it would be better visible, that they well mirror the discussions made by you all.

Perhaps we should get the current information thread going again, but keep the discussion out of it, and only what is finalized (at least for the moment). plans on cities (what they build, how their workers are located, etc.), research priorities, movement of warriors (in broad sense, like Slash is going to the Neck, Slash shadows Willy, etc.) should be posted there, were these turn threads can take most of the discussion on specific things. This only to get everything sorted out again, because the past week has been very discussing, but I can imagine that Meshelic and others who haven't followed it closely will get lost.

erhm... hold on with the changing of furs to Hurricane for a moment, I'm testing something else. We can build the granary the moment we discover pottery (by changing it in the F1 screen when pottery is discovered), and from then on use the furs to have as first build in EotS a warrior, or something else non pop-consuming. We lose the ability to good production in Hurricane, but I think it would in total be better, with minimal losses. Okay, EotS grows one turn later then with the first plan, but that one turn gives one warrior a lot sooner, and in general seems to be better if you take EotS and Hurricane combined.

More when I'm farther in testing this.

              Any word on the warriors?

As a Settler/Worker pump, nothing is more important in Eye than growth. An extra Warrior would be nice, but earlier Settlers would be better (if even by a turn). The plan looks fine as is.

Sir Ralph, another request (sorry!): could you post a complete log of all the final actions you make at the end of each turn, including unit movement, Laborer reallocation, slider changes, etc.? nye sometimes forgot to mention where Laborers were assigned and such, which made following along a lot tougher. You've being doing this so far, I just wanted to offer a reminder.

damn... these turns go too fast the past few days. Please check out the thing proposed in the Rex testing thread, basically if we build a warrior in EotS instead of in Hurricane, we are better off using the forest there for 2 turns, using the furs all the other turns. Not that much growth, but we can catch that up later by improving 3 fps fast.

It's an alliance of Lux invicta and Glory of war, who showed up with aircraft carriers and battleships and already landed 100 modern armor near Hurricane.

Just kidding. Grog found Thadeus, fortified on a real, one tile wide isthmus. Our exploration north is blocked and we are in no way able to stop theirs. That is why they taunted us instead of responding politely to our diplomatic request.

                              Screenshot is on the way.

                                Hmm, expected something worse...

So, do we declare war now or what !!!

We have to pressure them though in stopping their exploration, we have nothing to gain ATM from not doing so IMHO.
