Sir Ralph, I did not know about the 'Valley of Tears' connotation. Either is fine, it's just a name.

Concerning our Warriors, we can either push on ourselves, or begin shadowing the Voxians.

If we push on: Grog moves 8-4 (ending on the Hill), Slash 8-8 or 8-7, and Hack 8-7 but probably 8-4 since Willy will probably move on to the Forest with his second move. If the Voxians really are not receptive to our diplomatic efforts, Grog and Slash are ready to blockade the chokepoint for now (one on the Hill, one on the Shielded Grassland next to it).

If we shadow them: Grog moves 2, Slash 3 then 4 if Willy goes 1 from the Mountain, and Hack goes 8-7. Thus we block Willy quite well, and shadow Grog for the time being.

I really hope the Voxians answer contact attempts. REXing will be so much easier if we do not have to worry too much about enemy Warriors in our lands.

Can we actually block them? They are a bit too far south already, it seems to me (thanks for the screenies, Sir Ralph). We can probably block "Willy" but I don't see how we could stop "Tim" too. Plus, I'd like to see what's up north.

We cannot block, but we can run interference. This is the situation where having many Warriors really comes in handy: we're not fighting, we just need units to fill up tiles.

I probably just missed it, but did we check to see if Vox has the wheel?

I think Grog should go to the hill (8-4) and farther north. I do not want to go back with him. Using all our warriors to slow them means, we slow down their exploration, and explore nothing ourselves.

I think Grog should go north and have a look at their land. If they enter ours, we enter theirs, that simple. Hack is going almost in Slashs footsteps. What for? He sees nothing new. He should go west (4) next turn to intercept Tim, while Slash should shadow Willy.

We can't block them, only slow them down, but one warrior should proceed north, in their land. And Grog is our northernmost warrior. Don't let him go back.

We're currently sending a first contact letter to Vox indicating that we would like to see a stop in North/South exploration as an act of good faith. It will not look good if we exploit this before they get a chance to answer us.

If they proceed south next turn, they violated it themselves. So why should we hesitate?

We haven't sent our full message yet, and maybe their ambassador is away. We will send our next message shortly and to many members of their team. It contains explicit instructions to answer us ASAP. This makes our next few turns awkward, but I do not think we should be proposing one thing in good faith and not following through.

We aren't responsible, if their ambassador is away. So send the message to the people who play the turns. As long as they go south, we go north. They stop - we too. All else would make fools out of us, if you ask me.

Sir ralph is right on this one.
They won't like to have our warrior in their territory anymore as we like to see theirs.
Having one of ours beyond the 'border', could help them to go along with our proposal.
I'll keep an eye on the chatroom too, in case any Voxians wander in there..

I think the key is when we find out they agree to stop. Until they agree, we keep moving. If they agree between their turn and ours (and assuming word gets to Sir Ralph in time), we go ahead and stop on the basis of their agreement. (And if there's a communication problem that can legitimately be construed as our fault, we can give them permission to continue one more turn if they want to as an extra sign of good faith.)

At this point, our stopping first has no significant negative consequences. Further, since they go after us, the real result if we stop first is that both civs stop on the same turn.

                          Ambassador is sent

                          Message is sent.
I posted the complete message in the Vox ambasador's thread
I really hope they will stop the warrior otherwise thes negotiations might become errr... aggressive

Where should I notify everyone of their intentions to stop or not?

Word gets to me in time if it's posted either in the Vox Controli embassy thread or in the newly created Turn 23 thread. Deal?

Fully agree on this : one warrior should be used to shadow them if they do proceed downwards despite of the diplomacy suggestion sent to them.

                                One warrior can't shadow two.
