And it won't be irrigated next turn, right? In the mirror scenario, it's irrigated the turn after that, so the new laborer lands right where we want him.

The worker crossed the river this turn. He'll need 2 more turns to irrigate.

You're right. I was a turn off regarding where the test I was just running was. Oops. In any case, we can definitely expect our new laborer to land where we want him.

I assume you remembered to change the city build to the Pyramids as a prebuild? Edit: Yes, I see it in the screenshot.

By the way, from my test runs, it looks like we can get Pottery in time with several gold to spare.

                  Done. (Edit: adding Randolph)

I love this position. It makes me spam like I never did.

These big screenshots are really nice Good work. I like the name idea too.

Ok, I'm psyched. This game is really fun. The little twists (chokepoint, Settler, etc.) make things interesting. Chatting with you guys is teaching me loads about the game. Let's win this thing!

Sir Ralph, nice touch on the names. However, deserts are not usually referred to as '"valleys". Why not just 'Desert of Tears'? It has nice poetic ring to it, no?

The Voxians. If they do not contact us next turn, I propose we begin immediate interference measure for their Warriors. They could very well just be avoiding us in order to explore as much as possible down South. If we need to go "on alert", I suggest the following moves for our Warriors:

                          1. Grog moves 2, assuming Tim moves onto the Mountain. We really should not have left them the option of jumping on to that mountain, but what is done is done.

                          2. Slash moves 8, to explore further (assuming Willy moves onto the Moutain).

                          3. Hack moves 8...seems obvious.

If the Voxians do not respond to us, we send a warning next turn. If they do not answer us then, we move Slash and Gronk up to the chokepoint, and use Hack to shadow their units until reinforcements arrive.

"Desert of Tears" is fine with me and I'm sure with the others too. "Valley of Tears" has a certain meaning here, being "in the valley of tears" means being in poverty or misery, but Desert of Tears sounds also good.

As for the Voxians: We don't have enough forces there to block them, anyway. I thought a while if I should leave Grog on the mountain. That would have slowed them down a turn for the price of being slowed down ourselves. With that arc (9-8-4 onto the hill) Grog explores the whole isthmus, including the opposite sea site. That's not bad. I'm planning to go 8 with Slash, assuming Willy leaves that place. Hack perhaps should go 4, to intercept Tim and shadow him. We don't need him going almost in Slashs footsteps.

Thoughts, opinions? Discuss now, tomorrow it will be too late!

Leaving Grog on the mountain: There was no easy solution there. We need to have a scout in their territory asap as well, which means we better move immediate instead of risking to get in an blocked position. If I was the Voxians, and I saw the first warrior hesitating on that mountain, I would stay put with my warrior as well. It would be a turn lost solely on the GS side, as Vox has a scout already, and simply wants to delay us in scouting their side.

Geo names: I like them, but please use them only inside this forum, and not in the general one! We don't want any of this information to leak to other teams...

Has it occurred to anyone that Vox's ambassador might have gone on vacation without warning us or some such? We may need to broadcast our communication attempts more widely (assuming we haven't already).
