Who are you asking about the temple?

    • Was it ever pure culture, or just heavily dominated by culture? Right now, we have little enough culture accumulated that any other factors incorporated into the equation could easily play a significant role. But as the game progresses, any significant differences in accumulated culture tend to dwarf other factors.

      • Nathan, that was a question to Alva, which has answered me in the mean time.

I'm not sure it was always purely culture, but it seemed that way. Of course, in SP games I'm not following from the first few turns on who has the best city neither, I only start to look into that later on. But I got the same feeling with the only SP game I played so far with PTW, it seems to behave differently than it used to. No proofs here, just hunches (but I'll keep an eye out)

                  • By the way, something seems to have misfired royally in regard to the difficulty level. As you'll notice next time you hit F11, I've grown to size 3. At Monarch, or even at Regent, that ought to give me an unhappy citizen in the absence of any measures to counteract unhappiness (and I have none in place at this particular moment). But instead, all three are content. I have no idea what's going on, but I'll keep you posted as I keep growing. In the meantime, I figured everyone ought to know so you can make any appropriate adjustments to your strategy.

Something to keep in mind for the Demo-game.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's at Chieftain. When I first set up PtW on my new computer, I tried experimenting some with hotseat before I ever played a SP game, and it kept setting the game up as Chieftain instead of Emperor. (Not worth playing when I'm running the two human civs myself and counting on the AIs for challenge.) But the problem went away after I set up a SP game to see if the problem showed up there and then went back to hotseat. Something's definitely screwy in the MP difficulty level code.

                        • Alva, could you resend last turn? I haven't received it yet. 8 hours should be enough for an e-mail to cross two servers and 40km of cable
