A town idiot. The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

C'mon, let's make an 'official' post like I suggested. The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

That was a good post Theseus, and NYE too. Got the issue out without giving any statements as to the validity of the issue. I'm glad to see UnO's dissention, and it's funny to see MZ's justifications.
Just want to state right now though, if we get involved in that public discussion (the merits of shared victory), I'm going to resign from the team.

This is not something 'public', but if it's OK with you, Aeson, I'd like to send a PM to Vondrack thanking him for his acknowledgement of GS' performance. The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

Incase anyone is wondering, this is what was postd by Rhoth in the public thread in which everything has been deleted...
ZargonX has informed me at another site of Lego's belief that Vox betrayed them. I disagree and this is what I posted in response there to Zargon's comment. I am posting it here as well for all Legos to see because I do not believe that Vox betrayed Lego at all, and I do not like being seen as someone who betrays someone else.
Yes Vox decided not to help Lego, but at least let me give the reasoning for it since I didn't know you were so bitter about it. During the Lego war, Vondrack specifically asked us not to get involved so that you wouldn't have to try to protect us and further dilute your forces. So we didn't get involved, even though MZ told me later on that if we had we might have made a difference in the Stanwix battle.
When GS broke through and drove Lego from their continent I was contacted by both GS and GoW who basically said they would let us live and thrive if we continued to not be involved. So what would you have me do? If Lego couldn't hold back their opponents, what makes you think that Vox could? When Lego originally offered Legos Minor they were the strongest power in the game and had no need of the area. When Lego left the continent, we still only had the area of Voxtavia (formerly Legos Minor) and the potential of annihilation if we aided you at all. And when I spoke with you directly back then Zargon, you told me that you didn't want a city on Voxtavia anyway (no I don't have the email anymore).
So the game proceeded and Vox started settling northern Lego per the deal with GoW and GS. We made it clear to both of them that we wouldn't help Lego, but we also would not aid GoW and GS in finding Lego's remaining forces, which we did not.
And then the game glitched and wouldn't allow the final blow to be struck. Lego would have died many turns ago, if not for that bug, and through no fault of Vox's as you never asked us for a city or indeed any aid before that bug other than to not single out where your forces were....WHICH WE DID NOT DO. After the bug, Lego decided to land in Vox territory and it was only then that you asked us not to destroy you. It was only then that I informed GoW and GS of your whereabouts as we had made a deal with them that we would not harbor you and I did not want them to think that we were reneging on the deal we had made. And in any case....YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD ALREADY HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR A BUG. Even then, we still did not attack or hinder you until the Vox city flipped to Lego. With the bug in hand, the only way to get that city back would be to attack Lego. When I did that I only attacked the city and not your stack in our territory.
So yes, while you may see it that Vox betrayed you, I do not. You asked us not to get involved, and then when you were swept from the continent you still didn't ask us to get involved. It was only after your loss of the continent that we made the deal with GoW. Prior to that we were good little Lego Vassals, doing our best to help you win via our research capabilities, etc. Until the turn that Lego lost the war, we would have helped you in whatever way possible had you wanted it, and we were never GoW vassals or even allied with them. Even after you lost the continent we still avoided hurting you and you never asked for our help once....until after the bug when you should have been dead.
So please don't give me anymore of the "Vox betrayed us" because we never did...until you should have been dead.
And this is the reply from Zargon:
Rhoth, I posted my response over there, and if you go check it out, you'll see where some things get ironed out. I'm not going to post it over here, because I really don't feel like dragging in more people to turn it into a flame war that it doesn't need to be.
In fact, I would respectfully request you delete the post before it does just that. I think the issue is dealt with between the two of us, and does not need to be blown up.You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Sorry, couldn't help myself about the after game opening of private fora... I hope that kind of non-confrontational and (hopefully) humorous stuff remains okay.
BTW, MZ wants to write a late-game spy spoof, starring, you guessed it, me. As in... "Bond. Theseus Bond." Something to do with the infamous villain Martha Sagtit.
I told him it was fine with me, but that I'd check with the team to confirm. The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.
