    I'll keep my trap shut.

Theseus - I'm having fun with an Epic game too, with no FP. I'm Greece, so the commercial trait is helping me fight corruption. Instead of going for continental control ASAP as I normally would, I've got about 2/3 of it (the last chunk wasn't even my idea, the idiot Arabs attacked me and I flattened them in ~5 turns), and I'm off on intercontinental luxury grabs. Surgical strikes.

I'm playing the Middle Ages scenario as the Holy Roman Empire (Germany) and have a blast.

The middle ages is by far my favorite of the conquests, though I haven't yet beaten it on emperor. I've done quite well as the english and the french, but eventually run out of steam or a brick wall. I need to come up with a better strategy. Perhaps smash burgandy and keep moving and hit germany, at least get a few cities from each. England has that very nice army which allows them to take paris (the city) in short time, but the lack of an english harbor is crushing.

        Love it.

I see nothing. I hear nothing. I say nothing! That damn Hogan!

on the c3c front, I am finding large maps broken by resourse distribution. Toooooooo far to iron and horses, and I've seen maps with no luxes within 30 tiles of start. Anyone else seeing the same?

I dialed down to standard map with 8 civs, and it is fun, and I have resources and luxes! Maybe I am only having fun because I nabbed Zeus and captured the GL from victim number 1 on round 2. Of course, I am not trying the ag civs. Ag civs would tip a lot to whoever played them.

Uh, nye, perhaps you meant to post that elsewhere?

Moving back on-topic, it'll be interesting whether GoW get their flame-throwers out over our withdrawal, while they are now sueing for peace.

What if a poll was posted on the public forum, saying "who will win the game now?"

                1. Lego
                2. ND
                3. GoW

                That might be fun.

No, I'm just moaning about it every time I get a chance.

Aeson responded positively about not participating in the flame wars.

UnO has written a paean to GS... based on Dr. Seuss' the Grinch. I've seen parts of it... it is pretty well done, actually.

I asked him for fair warning of when he's going to post, which warning he just gave me.

So get ready to deal with the public with grace and Christmas cheer!!

his poem is quite entertaining I think.

Would it be alright if I just gave it a or something?
