  • Public Forum Bob withdrawal thread

We have probably about a week real time before the bulk of our forces have been removed from bob. How are we going to approach this in the public forum. As we have not.....been sound in the pr area, I think we should get a coordinated plan ready. Hell, we should consult with RP as well on this matter.

I think merely responding to the inevitible GoW/ND threads would be a mistake, it lets them set the tone of everything. And frankly I think its going to be another round of ugliness, I think we all know what will potentially be said.

Would a MacArthur type thread be too inflamatory, or would it be in "roleplay" I don't know. If we titled it Operation: Dunkirk, would there be problems? Or is that too close to home, as we are fighting a German team.

What do ya'll think? Who wants to run point on this operation?

One approach is to say absolutely nothing to all the crap they'll come out with. Let them have their freedom of speech and ignore it. They are trying to wind us up and get another flame war going because that's what they like, and we shouldn't give it to them.

Another approach is to make light of it - maybe a few jokes about the weather and the chicks being better in Stormia, so we're off home again.

I would be inclinded to ignore them. In the end, it will be hard to look good, since the reality is we got tossed off the land.
Anything we say will not look all that good. Wait for better times.

If we can be silent, then I would agree to it. Or if we could devise a response in here before posting. The problem is that we've tried that before and....Some of our members including myself tend to be hotheaded. Even some people that don't post here too often might go off on them for past injuries. Not to mention Aeson, who isn't even a member of our team any longer.

So if we can be silent this time...I would agree to it.

No response whatsoever. Let them ***** and ignore them. Why would I respond to a barking dog? Or even listen to him?

By the way, and that is very important: No response means: all of us

              Someone should PM Aeson then.

Is there someone on better terms with him than you?

Are there others that we need to pm?

                    I'll PM Aeson...

Btw, I have to say, even with the bugs and all I am totally enthralled with the one epic game I am playing for fun.

                    One more turn, indeed.

To emphasise what was said above, is there anyone else on our team we should advise on this?

I'm not sure, hopefully everyone would read this post first and see what our plans are and follow them. perhaps we need to change the title to something less...subtle.

There'll be no problems from me over this, there aren't many GoW people whose posts I see.
                          Are we having fun yet?
