no luck at all... I've been trying in between page views for over an hour now... strangely enough, 'poly is the only server with which I experience these problems
Could someone please explain exactly how galley chaining works so that I won't screw up?

Shiber, practise this before doing it on the GS save if possible...
I haven't used it much, and it has been a while, but I thought that if you move a galley, it will take all units 'awake' with him. So, you move a galley towards a tile where an empty one is waiting, wake all units (e.g. clicking on them), move the empty galley onwards and you have the woken units in that new galley, ready for another move.
The alternative (and probably safer way) is to wake the units, and load them again. If there are more galleys present, it will show a dialog, and you pick the galley with movement remaining.
How many galleys are at W11? I'll come up with a detailed plan...
another question: how many knights can load this turn? I think it will be possible to move 2 of those immediately into Sirocco next turn, however the rest (if there is any rest) will have to wait for 2 turns before they can reinforce.
The alternative is that we move some pikes out of the galleys now, and move one galley with extra knights (if we have 4 of them to load, which I doubt) within range of Sirocco. Next turn, we then can have those 4 knights ready.
okay, assuming there are 4 galleys or less at W11.
turn 133:
1. move 2 galleys at WW114 into Sirocco, unload.
2. move 1 galleys from WW11 to S66. unload into one of the empty galleys.
3. move that not-so-empty-anymore galley to Sirocco, unload. Move towards S6.
4. move 3 remaining galleys from WW11 towards S6. Unload in 2 galleys present there.
5. move those galleys into Sirocco. Unload.
6. in Sirocco, one galley remains with 3 MP. Move him 6.
7. unload the last galley into the empty one.
8. move into Sirocco, unload
9. move everything with movement remaining towards W11, one of the galleys has to reach it, can be loaded, and can still move 4.
This assumes only 2 knights can be loaded this turn (it looks that way on the screenshots from last turn, but I'm not sure). If more are present, these should be loaded into one of the galleys at W11, which then can't unload its units this turn.
Also, if more then 4 galleys are at W11, some of these have to go their way without chaining, otherwise those 2 knights can't unload next turn.

As long as there's plenty of time between when turns arrive and when Shiber plays them, I can probably keep offering suggestions for what to do with our workers and laborers. For this turn, here are my suggestions:
- Have the workers that irrigated near Arashi last turn irrigate Monsoon 6 and 9. (Note that 6 must be irrigated before 9 can be.) Take advantage of the irrigation to move the coastal laborer to the mined iron.
- If RP has upgraded all their horsemen, pillage the horse tile and have the two workers on the tile re-irrigate it. they'll re-road it next turn.
- Move the worker at Sandstorm 9 to Blizzard 2. He and the worker next to him will be roading.
- Have the trio of workers by Santa Ana mine SA 9.
- Move the worker at Dissidentville 6 to the unimproved grassland.
- Have the workers near Winds of Change help clear WoC 4.
- Trade places between the worker at Elipolis 7-7 and the pike on the hill next door.
- Start the new worker in Cyclone headed north. Cyclone is a worker pump, and should keep building workers for as long as we need them for tile improvements and/or radar towers.
- As I said last night, move one of the Sandstorm laborers from an irrigated fur to a mountain and give the fur to a Hurricane laborer currently working coast. Hurricane probably needs to build at least one or two more galleys before switching to something else, maybe more if we lose one or both of our attacks on GoW's northern galleys.

It works by moving the galley on another, "wake transported" units and then "load" them on the other galley. If in doubt which galley they're to load at, naming or numbering the galleys helps. After moving the units to the other galley, it can be moved. If necessary on another galley and all begins from the start.
We have to finish up the combat part of the turn. I can't stay up forever.
I'm going to move the knights and cats in Toledo 12 (it's the only way to get them back in action).
Shall I attack the lone rider with a knight or shall I move in a cat first and fire at him? Also, where do we want to move a knight from - NM or P-69?

Buck up, soldier. Everyone's counting on you.
I would offer assistance (what little I usually do here) but am in the middle of an apartment move. an easy move as far as those things go, but still a lot of work

I'd offer assistance with your move, but I probably live in the other side of the world.
