Turn sent. When I zoomed out for the screenshot, I realized something. We may possibly have a Great Lighthouse crossing to Lego available. We can see part of their land mass off to the northeast, but the side of the coastline closer to us hadn't been explored yet as of when we got our Lego map.

Nathan, can you send me the start-of-turn save, and your precise actions for this turn? I'd like to get back "into" the game a little more viscerally... thanks.

I forwarded the save to my list. I think you should be able to recreate my moves with reasonable accuracy from my descriptions and the screenshot. One thing I might mention is that I irrigated the former EotS plains closest to Tempest. I'm thinking in terms of adding two workers next turn, one to work that tile and the other to work (probably) an irrigated desert incense.

Our road goes through Dissidentville, so until we have Dissidentville, we can't get luxuries to Elipolis. So if we don't make the only laborer in Elipolis a specialist, we have riots. We'll probably end up having to abandon Elipolis without trying to produce a worker/settler in the process. (By the way, is it still possible to disband with a worker these days? I tried it in AU 402 and the city just sat there waiting to grow so it could build a worker.)

Why are we hoarding gold instead of using it to rush markets and get them sooner?"Close your eyes, for your eyes will only tell the truth,

Our near-term expenses are (1) buying Education from Lego (if I'm remembering right about that being part of the plan), (2) buying Chivalry from GoW, and (3) rushing a courthouse in the city that replaces Elipolis so we can start accumulating shields toward a possible FP move there. We'll probably have enough gold to cover those when we get our next turn, but not with much left over.
To the extent that we want to rush improvements, I tend to view courthouses in outlying areas as the highest priority because courthouses help cities help themselves.
