    Paddy - great pic!

I picked Fall of Rome, as the natural extension of the last game. I would not have to buy a new wardrobe.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

          is that right matey

I would expect you would have a lot to say on mods for that scenario as well

so I am curious, what was your choice?

Age of Discovery. Mainly because I only played it once, and lost (on Emperor, what a shame...)

Whatever it is, have AP on and play at Emperor or lower to make it as quick as possible

Age of discovery. Have never won it either, so it seems like a tough one to pick on...

Voting "Fall of Rome" again, with the idea to be a mod to the Rome Everlasting mod of FoR.

Hum, that one was won on Sid level in CFC by the Protoguese.

(They were kicked out of Europe by Spain around turn 60, but their capital shifted to one of their starting one tile island cities)

AI does a slow job creating the structures that allows the tresures to form.

I did note that they also made a slight mod to allow the Irq to be playable trying for a domination win with fall back being 35K Victory Points. (Irq don't have the structures allowing sacrificing workers) Still reading thru that.

I think in any case we'd want some kind of mod.

For the Japan one, in addition, perhaps an extra restriction upon ourselves that we'd never build the equalivent of the UN nor call an election if we aquire it. And plus we'd start on either of the starting smaller islands.

If we went with WW II pacific, [unlikely], I'd call for a slight mod to allow us to pick the Dutch. It's no contest between a human playing any of the four normally playable races and the AI.

Plus the rein of every King would need to be only 2 turns because there are only 50 turns at most in the conquest. 25 to 35 turns is more common.

Actually standard AoD is absurdly easy as any of the European powers.

For that matter, there are reports of those who played as a Meso Indian tribe actually capturing a few tresures or a city with tresure buildings intact and bringing them back to their capital.
