(AI turn and Production Phase)
Senators, I have reports from our many messengers travelling back and forth across our great empire.
First, the Persian army camped outside Wines to Dye For have attacked but they failed to take the city. No surprise since they brought mostly cavalry. The ships that brought them to the island quickly left after the attack, leaving the badly damaged army to its fate. So much for Persian honour!
Messengers also tell me that Celtic ships have been sighted passing the Pillars of Hercules and are now in the Internum Mare. For what reason, nobody knows? Lost, perhaps? We need some ships to help them find the long road to the dark Underworld where they can join their many comrades.
Our lone British settlement Vesontio has been attacked by the Celts. They have been repelled by our many strong troops led by the General Marcus Victorius. It also appears that a leader of extraordinary ability has arisen in that town. His name is Scipio and I am sure we will be hearing more about him in the future.
Most of the other news is of little importance and I will not concern you with it. We have produced more troops and we are building infirmaries in a couple of cities to help with growth. Also, rebellions have been put down in several of our recently conquered territories.
I have issued orders and will tell you the results soon.
