  • The pillaging must be banned if we want the actual game to last for very long.

Because the TILE is in two city's radii. ALL tiles in a city's radii get a vote. That's why it was the first tile chosen.

          • There are lots of tiles that will probably end up voting for 2 cities.

            • How do things work?

I'm supposing you would explain this once the tile rush is over, but might as well ask anyway. Many questions about the game that I don't see answered in the topped thread

How often do you get your tiles's production?
Every day at X time GMT? every turn played? every hour?
personally I think every day at X GMT would be easiest to manage.

How exactly does each type of production differ?
From what I read in the thread Ghengis first made about this, it seemed food was used to support units you own, but I don't know about shields or wealth.
Are shields used to bid on units still in production? wealth to bid on land and already made units?
              or
Are shields, food, and wealth sold on a market for varying amouts of currency?
In this system would food still be used to support units? If so could you buy food off the market, or would you need food tiles?
How are prices for the forms of production determined?

              I'm done now

Heey, what happened to "one man one vote"? Or at least "one heshe one vote"?

                      • Are we going to elect City Leaders and get moving with this or are we going to continue to wait on the others to choose tiles?

                        • Right... we have our tiles... now what?

Also I noticed GameCube has asked some pretty good questions that have gone unanswered.

Under the old $MiniGame system we took the stats from the last game save and played each "session" on that info. Each session would be a thread and all players got one turn of production from their tiles to sell/buy/use/stockpile in that thread.

The prices were determined by supply and demand and the following:

FOOD - Each city demanded 2 food for each Pop it had, you also had to feed your vassals (Workers) if you had any.

SHIELDS - were based on the city's production. Kinda weird and not accurate.

COMMERCE - Was based on the Pop of each city and our per capita income.

But those wouldn't really work because the players only owned a fraction of the tiles and the cities were fairly well populated. At the start like this those formulas wouldn't work too well.

I like Aidun's idea of each city voting on set prices for goods but we need to set some sort of parimeters for those prices.
