From what little I know about it, they are pretty much the same, but the Feudal game dictates the course of the game itself, rather than runs off of what we decide as a group.
Your interests may be at complete odds with one another. Someone may want another city containing a rival lords' tiles to be razed and thus allow it. Survival will be interesting, to say the least...

Aboot this pillaging: Could you keep someone else form doing it if you had one of your own troops defending it? Obviously the groups can't fight it oot. There should be some rules set forth on this, or we will spend the enitrety of the game, razing each others lands, and the find ourselves wiped oot by an AI civ.Sent by Him,

Thats a damn good point Tora. If we go ahead and pillage all of our tiles, the cities will never grow and our capabilities to produce military and city buildings will fail and it won't matter one flippin' bit who's feudal empire will grows or not a the Mayan nation will not survive. I think it will be kind of silly to have troops splayed out on all of the city tiles for the sole purpose of protecting each one's feudal empire

That is onething I'm afraid of too: will the game lead to individual gain and the destruction of the empire, or can individual gain and empire building go hand in hand?
Will we eventally put aside our individual interests and benefit the groups?
Logically none will put aside his individual interests if the others do not, so in the end we need a King with the power to overrule all his lord's decisions, to make sure the individual intesets don't harm the empire's interests and that short-term gain does not replace long term gain.
Yet who is to be King? Whish lord is "more equal" than the others? The solution the old Celts had for this problem was that the lords elected a High King from amongst themselves, who was allowed to rule for a lifetime, after which a new High King was elected, not nessecarily the old High King's son.

So once this is finished we can all start selling the shields, foof and commerce from our tiles to make enough gold to buy new ones?
