I ask what the point of another war is. We have already attained dominance over this world, and we are powerful enough to maintain that dominance through the end of the game. Our resources and efforts must be focused on our infrastructure and modernizing our defensive military; to do otherwise would be sheer folly. Another war would only distract us from maintaining our dominance through economic and political means.

There is absolutely no threat to our hegemony at the current state. Thanks to Roadcage's plan, we will build our spaceship as fast as the game makes it possible (with the 4 turns cap to discover new techs). A war would be a waste of resources and a waste of time.
We took about two months to complete the mere German campaing, do you imagine how much time will be engulfed for another war, with even more units on both sides ? We should finish the game already, rather than wasting 2 other months in a war which will bring naught to our greatness.

I think that whether to go for diplomacy or spaeship victory depends on the interest level of the people in this game. If the interest is still high the spaceship victory is ours, but if people are tired and want to start anew then the diplo is the way to go. either way I intend to be here until the end.

I completely agree, Aggie. I think we can count around 30 active members, at the most, and not all of them interested in administrative jobs (and we need that, our Empire is huge and difficult to manage). In fact, we don't have any challenge... We already won this game. If this is really the case, we should go for a diplomacy victory.
IMHO, a war with Japan could give a "shine" to this game again (all that planning, logistics and discussions... This means fun! ).
Otherwise, we should finish this game ASAP (diplo way) and start a new one.

As Aggie, I intend to be here until the end, no matter what kind of victory.

yes it is , but we should wait until we have our own apoMC , ..... with support from a couple aircraft carriers etc , ..... we could even open a second front against the zulu for the gems , ......
