  • Construction Shack - 940AD (and beyond) Corruption & Waste Statistics

This chart shows what our Corruption/Waste is in all of the cities in 980AD. This is when we would have Eliminated the cities of Tours & Grenoble and added the Site 2 City. It also shows some additional Information:

The formulation for this is Referenced from: Everything you ever wanted to know about corruption and the User Friendly FAQ that is linked to in that thread.

    In the Chart:
Corruption effects Trade. Waste effects Shield Production.
Courthouses effect both Corruption and Waste. WLKD effects ONLY Waste.

The chart shows what is the current statistics for Corruption/Waste. It also shows the following:
    1) Corruption/Waste with JUST a Courthouse.
    2) Waste with ONLY WLKD.
    3) Waste with BOTH Courthouse and WLKD.

From the time when I published my Construction Shack - 870AD (and beyond) Corruption & Waste Statistics Report to the present, we have added 6 Courthouses to our Nation. We have also Added the City of Lhasa and disbanded Besancon. We have also built the long awaited Forbidden Palace in Contaginon. With all of these factors combined, our nation’s AVERAGE Corruption has decreased by a dramatic 19.95%. We have also achieved WLKD in a number of cities and the AVERAGE Waste has decreased by 19.82%.

The chart is dated for 980AD, and is a CONJECTURE for then. By this time frame, the last two French Worker Farms of Tours & Grenoble will have been abandoned and a new city will stand at the Site 2 location. This chart is representative of these changes.

In the chart, the two columns for ‘Corr with Court’ & ‘Waste with Court & WLKD’ are highlighted in gray, to show what our Corruption and Waste would be with courthouses and WLKD in all of our cities. These are the columns that we’ll be looking at with the next several postings in this thread. We will be showing the following in the next several postings:
Only these cities, with the Palace moved to Timeline
Only these cities, with the Palace moved to Macross City
Only these cities, with the Palace moved to Here It Is.
[EDIT]This chart and the other three that are listed for the cities that we have now are shown in Republic, the All Cities charts are with Democracy.[/edit]
I will also show these same four Palace locations, with all of the expected cities that we have in our Regional boundaries (with a couple of extra German & English and the Greek Ivory Cities added and a couple less Greek Cities). So there will be 8 postings in all, including this one.

          Thank you, E_T.

Of course, you already know that at least MY objection has nothing to do with the figures

So the question is whether a 4% reduction in corruption is worth the 200 Shields constrution cost and the wounded pride of the Apolytonian ethnic group

Palace costs are MUCH higher. ie 1000 Shields.

From these four examples, we can see a few things. One being that the AVERAGE Corruption in the nation doesn't change that much from Apolyton to Timeline for the Palace locations. Here it Is and Macross City are about the same as each other, but both have less Corruption than the Poly & Timeline locations. The major changes are in most of the cities on Uber Island, they do become more Unproductive with the Palace at Timelime.

Also, with the Palace moves to Macross City or Here It Is, they have a more balanced number of cities that are Palace/FP centric. This is very important for further expansion at a later time.

One thing to remember is that the Unmodified Optimal City Number (OCN) is 25, at the level that we are playing at. Each Centric Group (Palace/FP) has their own OCN. The Modified OCN (MOCN) is changed with Courthouses, Police Stations & WLKD (only for Waste). The MOCN is 32 with one, 38 with 2 and 44 with all three (WASTE ONLY). If you have more cities that are in a centric group that goes over the MOCN by 1.5 times (48 w/court & 57 w/court+police), you will get fully Catasrophic corruption in the furtherest cities that nothing else will be able to help.

That's one of the reasons that we had problems before the FP was built. So, realistically, for full expansion purposes, we can have a maximim of 114 Cities and they will be productive, in some form, but ONLY if they are split evenly between the two Centric Groups.

As the next group of posts show, for further expansion, Timeline is not a very favorable option.

Palace in Apolyton, with all cities Future Cities

[EDIT] This chart is now updated, it has also been split in to Palace Centric & FP Centric Charts. THe Red in the Corruption Column is cities that would be in Catasrophic Corruption with just a Courthouse, A Police Station would take them out of it.[/EDIT]

This is a CONJECTURE of what the Corruption/Waste of our Future Cities. These are taken from the Cities by Region listing, with a couple of modifications. A few more German Cities, A few More English Cities, The Zulu National Island and the Greek Ivory Cities. It has just a couple of less Greek cities that are on that list. The parts that we will be looking at are the two columns that are Highlighted in Gray.

First is the Palace Centric, second is the FP Centric

And the FP Centric Chart with the Palace at Apolyton.

This chart (and the ones that will follow) assumes a few things:
                1) Government of Democracy
                2) All of our Current Cities and the ones that are soon to be built all have courthouses and are in WLKD.
                3) No Police stations are Present.

The Extra Cities come from Donegeal's Regional Report, with a couple of cities edited by me (see his thread and my post toward the end).

One quick thing with the move to Timeline, 3 of the German cities: Hamburg; Hannover & Frankfurt moved from FP Centric to Palace Centric. There were no opposite Centric Moves.

Overall Corruption & Waste is up (see the columns that show With a Court & With Court and WLKD) with this move.

The Macross City Palace Centric Chart:

And the FP Centric Chart with the Palace at Macross City:

The number of Cities between the two are more balanced. Corruption overall has been reduced. Almost all of the Cities that are on Uber are now FP Centric with the move to Macross City. Of the three options that I've looked at so far, this looks to be the best.

Of the Three possible Moves, Macross City looks to be the Best, but Here it Is would be better If we decide to move further South into Roman and/or Russian Territory. Timeline looks to be the worst choice of them all.

These last four charts are the same as the ones that I had in my last report. I do have to add Avignon & the new Greek City of Pergamon. I also have to Highlight the "Corr with Court" and Waste with Court & WLKD" columns. All I have to do is relead them to my FTP space and they will show right up. I'll edit this post when that is done. I'll also look at doing a chart for Heliopolis (only for ALL CITIES), as a few people had previously requested it.

[EDIT] THe new charts are up. I'll won't do the Helioppolis for a day or two, bucause of time constraints. [/edit]

What, you'd let a few pittling Frenchmen keep us from having a better nation? Besides, have you looked at the population of Macross City Recently, they are all followers of the Great Banana.

THe Banana has overcome them with his great wisdom.
