Completely off topic: What did happened with everybody's avatars and all images attached? Now, I can't see any image directly in the posts (avatars and maps, for instance).
Is this happening just with me? I'm connected in two different computers.
All avatars have been disabled until the end of the PTW chat.

I'm guessing the avatars were removed to free up some bandwidth for serving the chat. Am I right?

Shiber, for one moment, I thought you was Panag…

        Now on topic:
When should we start the activities of the committee, Ghengis? You already have some proposals, IIRC.

What the heck does "IIRC" mean anyway.

I believe the FP should go somewhere central in the Timeline/Gaia area, but I haven't looked at potential demographics so I might be off.

Other that the FP being permanent while the Palace is moveable what differences are there between the two?

FOr the forbidden palace, I would recomend somewhere in the Del Monte/Chiquita/seeberg area as that appears to be our direction of growth in the near immediate future. Greece has no iron, already gone through their golden age, has lots of good land with ivory and other resources, and is ready for picking in the near future. America is a cake walk, and we already plan on taking them out after the persians. The Germans are IMHO our number one enemy at the moment. Soon we will have to decide what and how to deal with them. The three cities above provide good solid ground for our expansion into these territories. I am leaning toward Chiquita as that will also benifit our former french cities the most.

Palace - for now I say keep it where it is at. It is as central as we can hope for it to be at this time. Once we have industrialization and some factories, we can look at moving it if we feel the necessity.

I would like to add Napoleton and Geofront in the list, because we are expanding to East, in the Persian territory.
The suggestions, so far, are showed here:

                    Nice map Aro.
I hope the commite finds the perfect spot for our FP and Palace.

BTW: Are we moving the Palace sometime?

I don't know, But after Aro's suggestions, Ubergorsk doesn't look that bad.

The FP effects things (if I remember correctly) in a 15 square radius. So we want it to effect the most cities and that means NO Costal placement (sorry ubergorsk).

The palace effects thing world wide, but primarily in a 20 square radious (IIRC).

If you are outside of the two radii, basically you get the same benifit anywhere (none). Inside the radii, the closer you are the better your benifit. To make cities in the 10+ radii range equal to the inner radii, the two should overlap, meaning the palace and the FP should be between 20-25 squares apart, with both being as central to land mass and our cities as possible.

The palace can be moved later. The FP cannot and we should be working on it now.

Chiquita is about 20 squares (i didn't measure, so only a guesstimate) away from poly, effects our french holdings and future american and greece holdings, is centrally located in our land. If in the future we take the german lands, if we move the palace to Nap....

unfortunately, when we do that we are in essence abandining uber isle to corruption along with our original homeland, but that will be a long time in the future (post industrilization I would think).

i COMPLETELY abhore the idea of the FP or P in Ubergorsk

its got sea to the south... thats alot of tyles not gaining any benefit

we need a city surrounded by cities, not a sea-side city IMHO

I am strongly opposed to Timeline, Gaia, and Napoleton. No offense to their patrons.
