A correction about me :
My debt wasn't $1200 but $970 at the beginning of the turn. I used all my cash to pay off debt ($195), i.e my debt is now $775, and my cash is $240 (I only pay off my debt with the income from previous turn)

I think the shield calculation should be 20(18+2)/31(19+12)=$65

If I am correct this would mean that Kloreep sold 1 shield at $61 and perhaps you 1 shield $65. I never knew what happened if you were exactly on the default price so I always kept on the safe side. Suppose I am going to learn now what happens.

Ahhhh. There was a typo in the Final Transactions report. I reported that Kloreep had failed to sell "1" when the proposal had been for "4". Usually any mistakes in the final report are the results of typos on my part as I have spreadsheet with all the formulas built into it that tracks sell prices, final profits, supply/demand, etc.

OK, I see you changed the 1 shield of Kloreep into 4. Did not check that myself. Only summed the number of shields in your post.

You may also want to change the demand of shields from 18 (16+2) to 20 (18+2). The end price remains $59 so it is not very important.

Correct that.

The proposal to give forest and jungle food a bonus is folly. A forest has 1 food, 2 shield, 1 comm. The shields are scarce right now and go for a good price. Food is being killed. So the Forest holders need a further bonus? Nope!

The jungle tiles went at fire sale prices. The owners do not need bonuses to pay for cheap land.

What do you expect? I am a judge.

The Jungle and Forest Food sources can't be improved to generate more food. They will only ever produce 1.

The grassland's food supply can be improved into Finished Goods and sold at higher prices. They can be irrigated to produce triple and four times as much as the jungle and forest tiles. The jungles will slowly disappear to be replaced by grassland.

That's why they were given a bonus.

Although I agree that shields don't need as much support as food and commerce do right now. That's why proposal two greatly improves the potiential prices of commerce and elimates some of the food production with the idea of purchasing captured labor.
