I really think that the key in each plan is the speed of our attack on France. The earlier it is, the worse AIs are at war. So, we need to strike them as early as we have a reasonable chance of success.
My question is, which will take longer, making the 4 galleys or roading to the iron? If we can get to the iron faster, the swordsmen are a great idea because fast attackers would be all but wasted in the mountains. If the galleys come first, then we should focus on building a strong enough "second wave" of horsemen to ensure that the second wave will succeed in the case of a first wave attack faliure at Paris.
