It took a long debate to get the save file because our government was afraid that we would play ahead and spoil things. So, please DO NOT play ahead.

Perhaps this should be indicated with each save file so that all new citizens are aware of it and realize that playing ahead is not appreciated by their fellow citizens.

Agreed war is the only hope .
But should we not wait first for a serious army and some money in the bank ?

Actually, we ARE building our military, following Case Pink project. We'll officially declare war only when we're ready (in 40 turns or so)

Notyoueither's calculations were pretty detailed and well thought out. Even if there is a more efficient way of building our Archer army, it probably wouldn't be much faster.

If I recall our situation correctly, we currently have only two small cities, a few warriors, and no barracks. To go from that to four cities plus an invasion force of veteran archers is pretty good, IMO.

Actually, we have a barracks in Apolyton.
This city will produce up to 7 shields at pop 3, meaning a veteran archer / spearman every 3 turns. (there is a mined shield grassland and two forests in the radius)

a temple could mean one more citizen , who vcould work , ...
