The only reason I'd join an organization is if it has an agenda and wants to get something done. What will this 'club' do, aside from saying "we want culture" in every poll associated with the game?

It's really just for fun. In the other demogame I've played, there were things called citizen-groups for people with like-minded interests. Not everyone is really pro-culture. I'm in. (As pretty much everyone probably will be.)
Perhaps we'll decide what sort of culture we'll have-- customs, gods (if any), rituals, etc. If that's our purpose, it's fine by me.
