The president already has a lot to do. Maybe make it the job of the VP. That post is already really just a euphamism for poller.

The president is the one that physicly plays the game and therefore is the only one with all the info on what happens every turn.

Well, yes atawa. That is a point I have noted before. The reporter would be (in the case of only the Ministers getting the save) a neutral that the ppl trusted (more than the Prez?) to keep the Ministers honest. I really see no need for one - why can't we trust the Ministers, most of us will be one sooner or later, and what motivation do they have for corruption - there are no sluch funds or Crown Jewels to get away with - but if it makes those who prefer someone watching the Ministers, I support it as a compromise between the Ministers having the save and everyone having the save.
        Consul.

Back to the ROOTS of addiction. My first missed poll!

i was already planning to do this if you look in one of my posts, and i'm also running for historian. I was gunna create systems and names for battles. Of course, like in real life i give out the 'propaganda story' first, and that reporter one a little after. This will all be contained in one thread, and also in a backup Notepad/MSword file that i will upload every so often for people to take a look at, inclueding codes for certain militery acerances!

I'd also try to have interveiws with Generals/militery advisors who have been voted out of power, or a certain period of time after a war, or world crisis.

          Help negate the vegiterian movement!
For every animal you don't eat! I'm gunna eat three!!

I thought the reporter would be a guy who "summed up" the game to a certain point, noticing the important parts.

Ahhhh, but read the question. I'm relating it to a very particular situation, if you'll notice.

Yes but people will vote yes expecting for this position to available, when they'll have to go through another poll to decide that.

BTW I liked your Iron Cross better

Okay folks, at this rate, alomost 80% of people support the creation of a Reporter in exchange for withholding the save file. If things keep up at this rate, I think we'll have to listen to something like this. None of the options has even half of this amount.

I think reporting is the responsibility of the ministers ala Civ2 Demo. A seperate post is unnecessary an audit committee might be useful; a select group who would have access to the save file; assuming we don't give it to everyone.
Accidently left my signature in this post.

I like it too but I'm still confused. I'm not exactly sure what the difference is between reporter and historian. according to HaziaDavampire, he doesn't see the difference.

I do think reporting/historian is a big job. ministers should post screenshots and write small briefings.
The reporter should compile these into something easy to understand for citizens (should be a good organizer).

The historian makes a fun story out of it (should be creative).

Or switch the roles. It doesn't matter, I just think we should differentiate between the two.

I can't vote. I don't think we should have access to the file, but I also don't think we should create this Reporter thing. The reporter would make the ministers' reports useless.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.
