I think the game can't handle it when there is no basic defensive unit.

What's Aeson building then, an offshore platform?

I went Scout->Scout->Settler->Temple in my first city... never got to build much with my second.

The killer crashed for me at 2900BC, after 3 scouts and a Temple for me.... I then went out for a bit.

Do a new map, but: DAMN!!! Got a Settler from the second goody hut!

While you're at it, there was something on the build menu that didn't make any sense... Barracks?

That's about the same as I intended to build, but mine crashed already in 3800BC. So it was not crashing when the first build was complete.
