    I just got to sit down and need to go see if alexman has released the mod. (Edit: No, I'm GMT -6, so it's still today. In fact, it's always today where I am. How odd. )

    Yes, I've roughly split the timeline so folks can read DARs in digestible chunks without having to wait until they finish the game to read any of them - except I left my notebook at work.

      Still waiting for Theseus to vote on the build-never proposal for Artillery. The mod is otherwise ready. I'm going to bed now though. Back in 8 hours.

      Ducki, it would be a good idea to change the industrial tech tree as in patch 1.20, even for stock rules, so people can play the game even under 1.20 without differences. So I think you can start on that in the meantime, unless you would like me to supply that mod too.

        Well, I could have a go at it, though if some enterprising, more experienced modder wants to send me 1.15b with the industrial tech tree fixed IM me for an email address.
        Absent that, I can take a look.

        Not really a spoiler, just tagged that way because it's depricated by Dom's post.
        Spoiler:

        Looking at the readme:
        * Electronics requirement removed from Motorized Transportation
        * Radio Tech removed
        * Advanced Flight now requires Electronics
        * Civil Defense requires Electronics
        * Industrial Tech Page updated to reflect change
        * Radar Towers require Advanced Flight
        It's the bit in bold that I hesitate most on. It was a concern even when we added it to the mod and likely even moreso for those that don't want to play a modded game.

        I'm not sure we should have our "stock" version of the game actually be a preemptive attempt at implementing a partial patch from a Firaxis readme. Also, do we want to have two versions of the "stock" game for use in comparison to the mod? If you have inside info(like a hard date) alexman, IM me.

        Otherwise, I think I'd rather stick with 1 stock version that's really stock and 1 AU mod version.

          I agree that the stock version should remain stock. However, we can release three versions if that's what people want.

          I've already sent ducki the scenario file with the 1.20 changes to the Industrial era. It should work fine, although the tech tree looks kind of weird (maybe someone wants to release another graphics file like we did for AU501-mod?).

            Version 1.04 of the AU Mod has been uploaded.

            Could someone please go over it to make sure there are no bugs? Thanks!

            I also uploaded the industrial age tech tree graphics for patch 1.20 (and the AU mod).

                Not seeing foreground graphics. Only background and arrow lines. Is it my import filters for pcx types or is the image bad?

                  The foreground graphics are supplied by the game.

                  Follow the instructions in the AU mod's main thread (my sig) if you want to start a random AU mod game and see the complete tree.

                    No artillery for AI? I presume since arts were only used for defense and not well by AI.

                    • Exactly. In C3C the AI doesn't bombard with ground units, even when you end your turn adjacent to his city where he has them.

                          • Yes. As soon as the ducki prince goes to bed and I upload the intro thread. I'll try to prewrite the first couple of DAR threads here at work and store them on my notepad here on poly - I love that thing.

                              nathan - The honest answer to your question is "I have too much information to answer accurately or honestly."

                              The answer you probably want to hear is, have a go at it at demigod.

                              The answer I most want to give is a recent post by Aeson.
                              Aeson has only lost 2 of his last three AU courses.
                              And sounds disappointed about it.
                              That's about the coolest attitude I've seen lately.

                                I imagine so, since the AU mod is preemptively incorporating the Industrial era changes in 1.20.
