AUSG101 – Spaceship Team DAR 5

This is the DAR (“during action report”) thread for the fifth turn block of 30 turns (50ad – 450ad) for the spaceship team. Please post your DAR of the next 30 turns, including thoughts of why you did what you did in the game, along with a screenshot at 450ad and a savegame at 450ad. I missed posting a couple DARs (real life getting in the way) but it looks like I'll be posting first this round.

The DAR:

There was no hostile action during my play, save a barbarian galley that unsuccesfully attacked my galley off the southern coast. I built three cities, acquired two more sources of furs, another source of saltpeter, and two sources of spices. I was the first to make contact with the backward Brits and reaped a total of about 400 gold from the event.

170 - England contacted. I give HBR & Polytheism for 206 gold and their world map. Communication w/England traded to everyone for their world maps and gold.

190 - Suhar founded, and Taif founded.

290 - I trade Monarchy and furs to England in return for ivory.

310 - Hama founded.

BTW, I have far more gold than anyone else; I beleive the second place civ has less than 100 gold. I lead tech; I lack chivalry but with musketeers on hand and calvary not far off it's not a problem. (In my own games I often skip chivalry unless there's someone I really want to attack at that point in the game.)
