Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
a shame, but i guess the main ideas are posted.....really i guess all that matters is what this group thinks, since others are unlikely to use it anyways
Naw, as the organizer, I don't want to appear to be forcing anything on players. It's bad enough that these guys called it "RAH" rules. It sounds real bad when I'm trolling new players and they ask what setting we play and I have to say "check out the RAH rules thread". Which is why they called it that in the first place.

yep
It's not as bad now because most of the people here realize that it's a rules set based on the input of many different people and not just me, but it's still tough when you're dealing with new people that aren't aware of the History involved.

no no, the perception around here is that "Rah" rules are your set of rules which let you WLTCD to get cheap pwergraph wins b/c you can't win on any other settings J/k of course

I myself play deity 1x1x and found out that huts make not much importance in my games, because of these points:
- there can be tech in it.
- there are more important things to find: like trade specials. so coast line is more important.
for the hutfinder: i think its a little too detailed. you have plenty enough information with this:
1. there is a hut 3 squares to the left if your hut is to the left of a special. (and there is a hut 3 squares right if your hut is right of a special). the so called "middle of a pattern".
2. from a hut you go either 3 squares horizontal or 3 squares vertical to find the next hut.
3. in middle of pattern always go horizontal, because vertical is 33% of finding a hut, horizontal is 100% (given no water there).
4. looking if the special is top right or bottom left of a hut is unwize, there are acceptions in the pattern that can mislude you.
these simple guidelines are more then enough to find huts efficiently and not waste too much time while moving.
agree with Ming....it takes a bit of the guesswork out of the game....but i think its an even upper for those so called skilled players who open up the map and look anyways
