Fighting continued around Kassa, and 2 divisions were eliminated in Serbia.May 2, 1915- Falkenhayn, Germany's Chief of Staff, had sensed the desperate situation of Austria-Hungary and had reluctantly reinforced them in Galicia. Today the Germans make a breakthrough against the Russian defnses on the Dunajec River. The whole Russian line along the Carpathians begins to collapse.
May 24- Italy enters the war on the Entente side seeking revenge against her archrival, Austria. Falkenhayn tells the Austrians to hold the Italains on the Isonzo with as few troops as possible while they continue their attack on Russia.
The Italina front saw no action...
