Apart from the gamespy " direct connect"-option in the previous patch I haven't seen anything about a real hack yet. Granted, I don't follow PTW in depth so I could be mistaken.

    Have they hacked it yet?
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

      This would not be correct.

You start a Direct IP game via the PTW lobby. In the PTW MP screen you have a Location control. If you set it to 'Internet', you will be playing via GameSpy. If you set it to 'Local' you will be on your LAN, or hosting a Direct IP game.

So, the host sets Location to Local. Then clicks 'Host'. The players then click 'Direct IP' and enter the hosts IP address at the prompt. GameSpy is by-passed for that game.

            • Shouldn't be high for a direct connection between you and War, say, 100 on average.
