      • The market places are crowded today, as new reports about the Mongols reach India.
Vishnurama Harekrishna, the famed Indian explorer and author of the most reliable history ever written, has published a new article on his encounter with the Mongols that is soon to appear in the popular magazine New Maharaja. An excerpt reads:

        Dining with a Mongol
        By Vishnurama Harekrishna

(...) While walking through a city named Beshbelik by it's citizens, I found a building surrounded by Mongol guards* and a ruthlessly slaughtered crowd that was apparently trying to storm the building.
After asking one of the guards, what this building was supposed to be, he answered "it is the new daycare centre for children opened by our great Khan, Genghis."
It appeared a bit strange to me, because Mongol daycare centres appear to vary drastically from our Indian ones- while ours are situated in the beautiful countryside surrounded by playgrounds and green parks, the Mongol one was a huge dark building with only a few (barred) windows. Screams of children, that, in other circumstances I would have interpreted as screams of pain, were coming out of each of them.
Then I heard a loud voice, and the guards were bowing down. I persumed that this was the voice of Genghis Khan. My little knowledge of the Mongol language allowed me to make out some words like "head", "parents", "pike", "blood", "kill", and "enjoy".
I didn't want to hear more, so I ran away.
On the town square, I met a friendly Mongol who invited me for dinner. I hesitated a bit because I didn't feel much of an appetite after seeing the fins on his back and his lizard tongue, but I was keen on seeing what the Mongols ate for dinner, so I swallowed and followed him.
It is absolutely untrue that the Mongols will eat anybody/anything. Their food is well chosen, and they eat only the finest Siberians. Apparently, they know of certain towns in Siberia where tasteful people will grow. They also sometimes eat Chinese, but this is more of a delicatesse to them. They will definately not eat something like a Kara-Khitai.
While dining, the Mongol told me the latest joke from his home. It went like this:
"Why do Kara Khitai always sit so uncomfortably?"
        "I don't know," I replied.
"Because they have only three buttockses!"
I pretended to have understood the joke, and laughed nearly as hard as he did.
The evening ended with a nice drink which I persume to be dragon blood. It was very tasteful, and I recommend it to anyone here.

*The way Mongols are commonly described in India are only partially true. While it is true that they have certain resemblance to horses, the claim that they are half man, half horse is a bit oversimplyfied. I have also yet to see one who spits fire or is actually courageous. Furthermore, let me remark here, that those Mongols I spoke to all lacked a nose and had only one eye.

        • In other news, the armies of the Sultan of Delhi have taken the port city of Gujarat somewhat east of Somnath.
The army's leading commander, Abdullah ben Radji has said the following about the siege:
After besieging the city for quite a while, we took it. It was a great success for all of us. We can be proud of it.

The next military operation planned is the securing of the trade route between Angkor and the Ganges valley.

A good number of caravans have meanwhile set off towards the lands far in the west. They are expected to reach the Khyber Pass in a couple of years, and will have reached the Mediterranean sea in no more than a century.

                  • WAR !!!

This time, the treacherous Kara Khitai went too far!

Not only were they happy to keep a state of war with the Great Khwarezmian Empire, but they just had to attack our border posts, slaughtering many innocent civil servants in the process! (and a few pikemen as well...)

Hearing this, the Shah ordered his army to move and seek a fair retribution for this foul deed !! The wild horsemen were only too happy to jump on their horses and avenge the dead innocents (even though they usually call the civil servants "parasites"... ).

Many horsemen died, but the city of Tashkent now rightfully belongs to Khwarezm and all the units it supported lie on the battlefield...

Emissaries from the Kara Khitai are expected in the palace of the Shah to surrender unconditionnally to stop the slaughter...

                    And the save:

I am here on my voyage of discover but evil deads have been caste upon my journey. I am in the city of Tashkent and its gates are closed. Noone can leave, not even the cousin of the emperor of the Chin. The troops are on watch as barbarian Khwarezmians have surronding the city. I write this message to you now as we all know whats to happen. Our city has been struck with a deadly plague. Thousands are dying and most of the troops have been stricken with this plague as well as I. Don't fear for me as I have some servants to look after my body. I fear the time is short of the essence. I can see from the city gates, the barbarians have now entered the city.

                              MONGOLS SWEEP MANCHURIA!

Xingzhong(Gobi Press)- In a lightning campaign, General Techodei has swept the 'Chin oppressors out of Manchuria. City after city fell to the gruff but kindly Mongol troopers. They received rapturous welcomes from the oppressed multitudes, who greeted them with open arms.

In a statement released from "somewhere on the northern plains, with just a campfire and a blanket to keep him warm", Gen. Techodei was characteristicaly modest. "We really fought like a team. We had good offense and a flexible defense. But it's really the fans that made the campaign. The people of New Mongolia are the best!"

Gen. Techodei also issued a blunt warning to 'Chin terrorists. "The members of the "sapper" cell of the 'Chin terrorist network will not escape justice. We will hunt them down, wherever they try to hide. Freedom will triumph."

                              VICTORY PARADE

Dading(Gobi Press) The government of New Mongolia held a massive victory parade in Dading today to celebrate the capture of four cities in New Mongolia (formerly Manchuria). Linhuang, Huining, Xingzhong and Liao Yang were all liberated in a lightning campaign. A spokesman from the provincial government in Dading expressed hope that reconstruction could begin soon. "Just as soon as the 'Chin can be forced to give up their weapons of mass destruction, we can get on with building a Mongol Utopia."
