    The Fall of Alamut

After a siege that lasted for years, Alamut, mighty citadel of the Assassins, fell to the Khwarezmian army! And which is more, the fortifications saw only minor damages and will be repaired in no time, securing the Khwarezmian western border!

The combat was violent, with heavy casualties on both sides: the khwarezmian emperor himself fell at the foot of the Alamut wall!

But the time is not for mourning, as his son, Jalal Al-Din, took his place!

Even in his young years, he is seen as a promising leader second only to Gengis, the mighty mongol Khan!

The assassin threat is now over, and all the rulers of the world can sleep quietly, not fearing a dagger in the night or a scorpion under the pillow...

The keeper of the Assassin treasury escaped, though, and strangely went into hiding in the Mongols territory, taking with him 500 gold. There is good hope this money will be returned and then given to all the khwarezmian widows whose men died freeing the world from the assassins threat...

Indian merchants have left the Khwarizmian road.
Other merchants have reached Mesopotamia, seeking in vain a city which would take their valuable cargo. They are now moving towards Christian territories. The Pope is asked whether any of the cities within his territories asks for Hides.

Mongol cavalry have been spotted in fortresses just southwest of Xian, apparently in an attempt to open up a western front. Large numbers of Sung pikemen have taken up positions to the south and east of the horde, hopefully buying Xian some time to prepare its defenses.

1950 more gold sent to the Chin to deal with this new threat.

    Great, we Khwarezmians love flowers!

And if you don't repeat your error, we won't need to use them for your merchants funeral...
